Photos of Clubman Laurel Edition

Our Raleigh dealer just posted photos of the Clubman Laurel Edition. I thought someone might be interested in taking a look:

http://www.flowminiraleigh.com/MiscPage_2

They also posted some pictures on their FaceBook page:

http://www.facebook.com/MINIofRaleigh#!/album.php?aid=149604&id=236750339620

Here's some more information on the Laurel Edition:

I was thinking of doing the offset stripes on my clubman, I like the look. Maybe I should get busy...

So, this looks like only the JCW aesthetic options are included, not the JCW performance options.
Is that correct?

Can you say "fugly"? Geez. The ONLY thing I like about this new edition is the cool "scoops" that are integrated into the side sills. Other than that - meh!

It gives it kind of a 70s retro look. I like it and will admit that if the option had been available at the time I got mine, I'd be driving that kind right now.

Saw the Laurel edition at a dealer today. pretty cool outside, but looks pretty cheap inside...vinyl seats, some sort of grayish checkered trim, no chrome line interior. just looked a little on the cheapish side.

Nothing different and unique except the vinyl stripe kit.

My sentiments can be summed up in one famous quote: "Much ado about nothing." However, I would like to have a set of those lower side scoops on mine, are they available for order?

Those are the side skirts that come with the JCW Aero kit. You can buy the kit for about $2200

Do they come from the factory with all the exterior "Laurel" add ons? If so then why can't the JCW aero kit be ordered from the factory.

Answered my own question... from Motoringfile.com

Here’s a breakdown of all the options that come on the cars from the factory:
  • Pepper White (850)
  • Roof in Body Color (R55/R56)
  • Black Leatherette
  • Sport Package (Black 17” Wheels)
  • Xenon Headlights
  • Dynamic Traction Control
  • White turn-signals
  • Automatic Climate Control
  • Harman Kardon Premium Sound
  • Bluetooth and USB/iPod Adapter
Once in the US, the following accessories are added at the port rounding out the look of the car:
  • John Cooper Works Aero Kit painted in Pepper White (R55, R57)
  • John Cooper Works Aero Kit painted in Pepper White with Wheel Arches in body color (R56)
  • MINI Driving Lamps in Black
  • Jet Black Mirror Caps
  • Laurel Sport Edition Side Scuttles
  • Laurel Sport Edition Door Sills
  • Laurel Sport Edition Bonnet, Roof and Tailgate Stripes
  • Laurel Sport Edition Side Panel Stripes
A) summer configuration: 17” Black Web Spoke with Performance Tires (2RW) or B) winter configuration: 17” Black Crown Spoke (2RP, 2RV) with All-Season Tires (927) and Cold Weather Package (ZCW – 313 Power Folding Mirrors, 314 Heated Mirrors and Washer Jets, 494 Heated Seats)

The leaves in the original logo were "Laurel".
This is what I was told. Maybe someone else can comfirm or
debunk this story.

That looks great. Shame to hear about the poor internals though but I'd love to get a similar paint job in CR added to Deano. Wish the JCW body kit didn't cost $3500 in Canada.

Laurel Edition

I could be mistaken, but I heard it was like a Ralph Lauren Special Edition.
Yes it does look cheap on the inside, it does not even come with a sun roof either.

PS

Lots of stickers that will fade or peel off.
They should have painted them on, and then clearcoat them, that would be alot better.
Everything on the car is a sticker.
