differences between the 08 and 09- i remember reading about new changes....but i have no idea what they were...

we have had alot of kinks to work out with our 2008- nothing serious , just 5-6 trips over to the dealer in the last year.

 

Any strings(fees) attached? If not, the newer car should have less "issues" down the road.

As I recall there was some shifting of things in the option packages, but nothing major. Roof rails became optional.

Keep in mind that "new" to a dealer means untitled, not "un-driven" Ask for a full disclosure on the "new" vehicle. Compare the level of equipment with your current car.

+1 on the changes to the option packages from 08 to 09. And there were a few minor cosmetic changes on the rear bumper if I remember correctly.

On the 2010 again a few cosmetic changes from what I have seen and again changes to packages. The only real mechanical difference is the ELSD now instead of the Mechanical LSD.

 

While I love my MINI rack, I would jump at the chance for the rails, alone. Now that the JCW kit is out, I'm sorta pining for an S, too!

 

Although one might think any dealership would offer you this new Clubman, alas many would not. Go for the new one and take that full warranty!

I have a 2009 with the factory rails and have had no problems. OK, I had one brief issue that was fixed immediately with a seat belt sensor but that's it.

 

new comparably equipped S for no $$$... What was your question again?
