Cosmoline Blues/Door sill problems...

Hi Everyone!

Well I have been recovering NICELY from the total knee replacement almost 7 weeks ago! FINALLY I am able to use the clutch and walk around without crutches !

So this morning my wife and I were able to give the clubbie a proper wash and light detail. I thought I had eliminated the cosmoline problems but they continue . I continue to get the dang stuff dripping down on the driver side front wheel plastic. I have managed to get it out of the passenger side and think that is solved but the driver's side is pretty much trashed with a very obvious stream of where the junk went. Has anyone had any success taking this to the dealership and having it fixed/replaced? I am pretty good at detailing the car and have tried it all to no avail.

My other issue is with the door sills. They replaced the driver's side at purchase as it was coming up but it still is.....as if there was not enough "glue" to keep it down. The passenger side is now coming up in multiple places and I have to put pressure on the sill to keep it down. Has anyone else had success having the dealer fix this problem or is it something that folks are dealing with.

Other than that we love the vehicle but I am a bit peeved at these two issues.

Regards,

Mike

I have had the dealer fix both. They replaced the plastic wheel arch and replaced both sills because thy just can not clean a surface that unfortunately reacts to the chemicals int eh cosmoline. The sill have been done for over 6 months now with no lifting again.

Thanks folks....sorry for the delay in posting but things have been hectic on my end. Looks like it's time for a visit to the dealer!
