finally saw my previous mini

in 05 i traded in my 02 mcs ( bad mistake) with 11k miles on it for a mustang gt. yesterday morning i took my wife to the lab to get some blood work in our clubman s and there in the parking lot was my old car. i imediately recognized it from the zoomers exhaust ( another bad mistake). went into the waiting room and called out " who owns the yellow mini in the parking lot". the new owner and i had a long talk. it now has 48k trouble free miles on it and he even remembered what i had traded it in on ( it sold within 24 hrs of my trade) . seeing it reminded me of my mistake and fueled my desire to get another mini to share the garage with the clubman

Wow, that's pretty amazing...it must be something like being reunited with a family member that you thought you'd never see again and catching up = ) Do you live in a relatively small town?

At least it hadn't been abused -- that might've gotten ugly!

That's great that you got to see your original MINI, and even better that it has a good second owner.

that's pretty cool ... I still my Chrysler Cordoba roaming around my old neighborhood ... sold it about 15 years ago to an older gentleman

my 03 MINI however ended up in New Mexico after a carfax search of its VIN.

I'm guessing it was sort of a "sweet sorrow" to see it. Wow - what are the chances??? Our previous 05' MCS is somewhere up in Northern CA so I doubt we will ever see it again...
