Even though my spouse HTClubman posted, I needed to post, I would drive by and ocassionally fish at Lake Henshaw on my way to get a pie and food in Julian or would drive to the Junction and head 79 North and drive through the middle of nowhere to get to Palm Springs.
Those were the good old days when I was a wireless tech and would work on towers up there. Always fun to play in the snow in San Diego County.
There are some great roads around there Pala Rd. east from 15 to Palomar, 78 east From Julian, 79 South to the 8, 67 through Mt. Woodson to Julian. Glad to see you were driving around some fun places. I used to be able to drive pretty fast around those areas, or as fast as I could make my work Jeep Cherokee go.

Okay, now I've doubled the number of Clubmen I've ever seen (other than in a dealer lot)!
#2, driving my daughter home from school. You have to imagine a 4 year old... "Daddy, why you stopping... Ohhh, nice car, like Welly, but that one has a top."

Happy Friday Good People...while playing hooky today and on my way to get a hair cut, I spotted this beauty. Southbound on the 101 in Agoura Hills, CA. I had to 'stalk' it to get the picture. Saw it way behind me, slowed WAY down so he could catch up, almost missed my exit trying to verify it was a MCC, it finally passed me and I snapped the picture! Yay!!!!

what happens when you let your 6 yr old take the picture. she was so excited that she spotted this one.
so I don't want credit for it. but I wanted to share
we went for a 2nd test drive yesterday. this one was parked in the service area near the entrance of the dealership. Katie was so excited that they had a blue Clubman. She had to take a picture.
I found out yesterday that the AB is being discontinued. Which is a bummer. Because I can't order my car until Dec. and that is when they are switching to matte black.
so I don't want credit for it. but I wanted to share

Forgot to tell this great stalking story...on Friday, rasputinj and I pulled in to our garage with pizza (our family was over for dinner) and I saw a blue MCC drive past our house and up the hill...I was yelling "there it is, there it is!!" rasputinj said "get back in the car and we'll follow it!"...so we both jumped back in and quickly drove off to follow it and get a picture of course...we didn't catch up to it, but drove the streets in our neighborhood looking for it...we know it lives around here, we've seen it 3 times, but don't know exactly WHERE it lives, but we're stalking it to get a picture!

Forgot to tell this great stalking story...on Friday, rasputinj and I pulled in to our garage with pizza (our family was over for dinner) and I saw a blue MCC drive past our house and up the hill...I was yelling "there it is, there it is!!" rasputinj said "get back in the car and we'll follow it!"...so we both jumped back in and quickly drove off to follow it and get a picture of course...we didn't catch up to it, but drove the streets in our neighborhood looking for it...we know it lives around here, we've seen it 3 times, but don't know exactly WHERE it lives, but we're stalking it to get a picture!

I caught one today but haven't had time to download yet - will post next week as we are going to San Fran this weekend for a wedding...so...I'm hoping I'll see a few more on the road!
I MISSED 2 today - darn it - within 5 minutes of each other - a HC and M/Y - urggggg...started to snap the picture and BOTH TIMES a frickin SUV pulled out and blocked the picture and we didn't have time to turn around and chase them down - LOL!!
Everybody have a great weekend - will post upon returning on Monday night!!!

Some of you might find this interesting. Before I placed an order for my MCC, I saw only one in the entire area of Dallas/Ft Worth and this was in April. That's what convinced me to give the car some serious consideration and of course, Kazzie was born. About a week ago (Grr! Wish I had my camera with me at the time!) I saw not one but three Clubmen within one day. Just bizarre considering that I hadn't seen any in FIVE months! One was Pepper White, another was red and the third was Dark Silver. Another odd thing, all of them had the center racing stripes (and Kazzie will have them when she finally arrives!).

Makes me wonder if Pope Benedict XVI is thinking about getting one. He'd be the coolest pope in history. BTW, according to a news story about him, he does use an Ipod and some of his cardinals spread prayers by texting with Blackberries! Glad to see the Pope using the latest technology!
