Car Name

Ok, so my wife does not like the name that I have come up with for my car. So, I'm putting it out for the jury. Given the fact that it is black and blue, I thought I would put "BRUISER" on the tag. What do you think?

Bruiser... not bad. But if the wifey is dead set against it, maybe you should consider other choices for the sake of maintaining the harmony between the three of you.

Some other possibilities:

Midnight

Memphis

Ballou

B.B.

Stones

If you need help with the logic behind any of those, let me know... a couple of them are a reach but all good names for a Blue/Black MINI.

LOL! I'm not worried about harmony; we're celebrating 19 years next week, so I guess we have managed to balance our differences.

Black and blue? Sounds more like a Bruised than a Bruiser.

I was thinking the same thing, though "hen-pecked" rather than bruised, came to mind. Having said that, though, may I ask what her suggestion was? She's not allowed to shoot down one without offering an alternative.

I was thinking Bruised & Abused or Beaten black & blue.

Why is it people want their cars to seem mean and hostile?

I went with Bombadil a powerful, but playful, character from LOTR (Only shows up in the first book. Not in the movie).

I thought people would see the irony in a tough name given the car is a Mini.

He, she, it doesn't matter. You have yours!!! I'm still waiting on my production to start. I actually went to the dealership today to get my "fix".

Miska? Are you kidding?
It's a hard working fast little fun car not a spoiled
Mercedes 2 seater. Bruiser fits much better.
(No Offense)

I like it!!!

I do agree that you might want to work with the wifey liking the name also though.

For that very reason I named mine Shelby Jr. after the Hubby's new Shelby GT500 sporting the same color scheme. I did this to get my personalized plate switched from my truck to the Mini. My plate is N2BEADS. It's a hobby of mine. The Hubby enjoys driving my car almost as much as his GT500 (yeah, right ) and doesn't seem to mind that the plates may seem a little out there with a man driving.

Oh, and congrats on 19 years of marriage!!! The Hubby and I just celebrated our 20th last weekend. Isn't it great!!!

I guess I'm not a fully paid-up member of the MINI-cult yet, can't quite get behind the naming of the cars.

Stu sounds like a good name for a Mini.
