Changing Colors

I have ordered a Laser Blue Clubman and am thinking of going back to my original choice which was hot chocolate, but would like to see one first. Does anybody know where I might be able to see one? I am in the Richmond VA area and I have about 1 week before my car goes into production, so I am running out of time to make any changes. I appreciate your input.

Well - most of the initial Dealer Clubmans have now been delivered. Call Crown MINI right there in Richmond or Checkered Flag in VA Beach - or there are several other dealerships in the Northern VA - MD area. Sterling MINI would be the other closest to Richmond heading northbound. Ask if theirs have been delivered - then you can go take a peek...

While I like Laser Blue, I would think H/C will be more exclusive. Go for it if you can!

Too late now!! My MA just called and my clubman went into production last night. I don't think I'll be disappointed with my choice though.

I'm sure you'll be happy with your choice!!

To be honest, I am not a fan of the HC - although I DO like the interior a lot. When Mike and I first met, he owned an MG Midget and it was very close to the HC - and I never fell in love with the color - LOL!!! Although it is nice, it's just not our choice.

If MINI had offered a blue close or equal to Indy Blue and I would have gone for it.

We also did our rather unsual color mix. We got Hot Cocoa/Silver roof with Carbon black/grey leatherette seats and Gotham Grey door cards with Checkered dash/door inserts. We would have liked the HC interior but didn't really wanted to spend the extra $1K or so for "fancier" seats/trim as we have a 15 month old boy. The Leatherette has proven to be very durable and more adept to the "Kid" job in other MINIs we have owned.

Hopefully it will look good. One thing is to see the colors in the online configurator and quite another with the finished product in person.

Sounds interesting. Post pictures when you get it. When are you expecting it?

Well, the Clubby is on the boat now, still crossing the Atlantic, so the expected port arrival will be on the 13th. If everything goes well at the VPC, I am hoping for the car to arrive at the dealer around the 18th. I doubt we will be able to pick it up on launch day as my MA will be in Vegas for the US Clubman unveiling. The dealer also needs to install the iPod adaptor as part of the pre-delivery prep.

I plan to put 28% tints all around and a full front clearbra before delivery. I will post pics here as soon as we take it home.

1+ weeks seems like an eternity, but when all is said and done, we have been waiting for this car for the better part of 4-5 years
