Enough room in the back to...

Ok, I had to register just to ask this question.

Is there enough room in the back, with the seats folded down, to sleep?

What is the length of the cargo area with the seats folded down?

Good question. How tall are you? It seems the Clubman is marginally longer than the standard hardtop, so my initial answer to that might be no...

I might be wrong on this, but I thought when you put the back seats down that you have a flat floor, but when I saw pictures it doesn't look like a flat floor with the back seats down, so based on the pictures I don't know how you could sleep back there.

Does the front passenger seat fold down as well?? If not, no way in hell an adult could lay down back there.

You could probably lay down... think semi-fetal position and it's all good. (spooning alone?)

The flat floor thing is because there's a false floor behind the back seats that folds up. I checked it out at the show. I think, if you leave that in and fold the seats down, it'll be completely flat. (I'm about 98% sure about that, anyway)

I'd venture to say there would be enough room with an RSD kit.

I keep a 20F sleeping bag in the car on long trips now, I've got a smooth RSD, I'm 6+ft I've slept in the drivers seat both reclined and upright, I've got room to sleep in the boot if needed.

But I drive an R53, the R56 seems a tad larger, the R55 is supposed to be even longer. I'm not saying you'll be 5-star comfy but I suspect it'll be manageable. Oh and I think that other thing will get easier with more space too, just, uhh, make sure you tint the windows

I think that you are right and now that I think about it I believe that I read or saw something about this somewhere.
