You're going to love THIS...

I'm sure everyone has heard the excuse "the dog ate my homework". Well last evening I was called upon to do a "quick" trip to the store and it so happened that the evening was a bit warm so I decided to take the wind-screen off the mini to get a bit more ventilation in the car. Since this was supposed to be a quick trip, I just took the screen off and leaned it agains a wall in the garage. Now I can honestly use the excuse "The DOG ate my wind screen". Our dog "Fido" (name has been change to protect the innocent until proven guilty.) got in the garage and just had a field day with the screen. Now, the frame was not damage but the material is non existent.

First, Does anybody know where I could get the same or similar material to re-screen the wind screen?

Second, what is a proper punishment for "fido" if found guilty. Luckly, there will only be one judge, jury and executioner...

Shouldn't you be punishing the thoughtless owner for tempting an innocent pup with such a delightful toy.

Now the dog will have enough screen in him to be placed into the back seat with a cone around his head, to block the wind

Let the dog keep the screen as a toy and throw caution and your hair to the wind.

First off... Sorry about the damage. I think i'd be royally pi$$ed off.

Secondly... Lucky you... Many people have wondered about re-screening the thing, now you have the perfect oportunity to find out if it's possible. You'd better take pictures (include Fido in some of them just to show he's still alive) and document the steps.

OK?

ps, please tell me the dog doesn't look like this:

I love the idea about using Fido as the wind screen. I just have to figure out how to stretch the ears far enough to attach to the holes...

Treats

With "Fido" feeling so happy and loved that you cared enough to provide him (her?) with such a tasty treat, I'm sure that he would be glad to sit right next to you and hold a small screen up to shield you from the wind!

Let us know how the fix works!

My dog used to eat my cat's food. This probably has nothing to do with anything.

MY dogs try to eat the cat!

They've eaten my mom's hearing aid for the second time. Of course we don't know who did it because I have three and anyone of them could be guilty. Mmmmm....ear.

That's too bad about the screen but as far as punishment it's too late. "Fido" will think he's being punished for something unrelated like walking into the gararge. They can't put two and two together.

My friend has a pup that eats something everytime she leaves the house. The last thing was her taxes! I guess they were shredded throughout the house. Now this pup hides everytime she comes home whether or not he's done something bad because he associates her coming home with being in trouble. Poor guy!

That's so sad. Continuing off-topic...

Years ago, I came home during a thunderstorm to find furniture-grade foam and batting all over the place. It wasn't until I had made a complete circuit of the house and started back in the front room that I found my large puppy had eaten out the side of one of my recliners!

Thank goodness it was hand-me-down fugly.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with dog troubles. Now I guess since I can't or should punish Fido I might as well enjoy everyone else mishapps... So, keep it comming!

And by the way, if somebody does know where I could get the fabric, please share. I've checked the local fabric store but no-go there.

Gotta love them dogs....

We planted a tree in the back yard when we moved into our house. For 2 years, the dog and tree got on swimmingly. Then one Saturday morning, the tree looked at the dog in the wrong manner, so the pup took it down. She ate a 12 foot tree down to the stump. Nothing left but leaves and a couple of branches. The tree has been replaced, along with a little wire mesh around the trunk..

Our dog is a sweetheart, but my mom's dog ate the sofa one day. Stripped it down to the wood frame and metal springs and a big pile of shredded foam and fabric. Where is the dog whisperer when you need him?

What kind of screen material is on the wind screen? I dont have mine yet....
