Climate Control

My daughter has a new Cabrio, she has the premium package that includes climate control -- on my 2004 hatchback the climate control has an off switch. On the cabrio it is on all the time - the manual said to turn off, hit the left side of the auto switch - the temperature in the center is always there. I can turn off the auto light by changing the direction of the air flow. Do you think there is a problem or is this the way it should operate on a 2006.

Hit the auto button till the light is off, then click the center button to the left till the screen is blank, then it is off.

Then try

left, right, left, right, up, down, up, down, a, b, a, b, start.

oh wait, i think that was for unlimited lives in Contra for the original nintendo.

I love my climate control but it's such a pain to remember how it all works. Luckily I've got the older version and it seems a bit easier to use than the newer models. but it's still a pain to remember everything.

I usually set it and forget it. Luckily it's got an off button.

good luck

Just keep hitting the "-" on the fan speed button until it goes off.

Oh, and if you leave it on Lo, the AC will always be on when you restart the car. If you bump it up to 62 then you can turn the AC off and it will stay off.

60 seems to be the magic number for this on the '05 and '06 MCS.
