AC compressor locked up and took out harmonic balancer, pulley questions?

As the the title says my ac compressor locked up and ended up spinning the harmonic balancer. Now I got now ac and when I accelerate it won.t go above 5psi and on comes check engine light and into limp mode. I haven't pulled the codes but it's probably from to much fuel from the harmonic spinning.

Now my question is should I just go ahead with a cravenspeed 2% crank pulley and do a 16% supercharger pulley and replace the ac compressor? Also I picked up and belt a while ago new for $5 and it's a 4060537 Goodyear gatorback would that belt work with the 2% crank and 16% supercharger? Or should I just go ahead with the 15% and 2% crank and would that belt work for that?

?
are you SURE thats what happened? USUALLY the harmonic balancer is about torn through and engaging the a/c compressor does it in-the reason you are in limp home with lights on is the crankshaft speed (near zero on the belt) as measured by the timing sensor, is way out of whack for the programmed parameters of the alternator and supercharger. WMW has a nice std or 2% harmonic balancer that still keeps the crank dampened, you should use one of them. Your a/c will return to normal once the belt drive is returned to normal

But I'm tearing down the car tomorrow morning and will check the compressor to see if it will spin or not.

Either which way the harmonic balancer has to get replaced, compressor clutch still engages and disengages so I could wait off on compressor if it is bad, it is a convertible

The reason I ask is, when mine broke (crank pulley) it was a hot day and turning on the a/c is what finished the crank pulley, putting me into limp home and a wait for a tow truck. the compressor was fine once I got into repairs but apparently the stress of turning it on is what fiished off my obviously nearly seperated crank pully. As mentioned,I like the solid ones Way sells.

Whichever crank pulley you go with, make sure that it is, as stage1scott mentioned, dampened. There is a huge debate among the MINI community of whether these engines actually require a dampened crank pulley. Theoretically the dampened pulley will cut down on vibrations that could kill the supercharger. In my experience, the ATI damper I fitted last year made my engine purr like a kitten and I have solid engine mounts. It's also available over-sized like the Way damper but it is on the expensive side of reasonable.

Well I got down to the ac compressor and it still will spin so maybe it isn't lock up and the crank pulley spins around. Off to M7 to get a crank pulley tomorow, they about 30 min drive from me.
