This is a pretty common item on the convertibles. Part numbers are 51-13-7-123-437 for the left and 51-13-7-123-438 for the right.
We stock these trim pieces and can ship them tomorrow. Please feel free to order from us directly at http://mini.sewellparts.com/parts_inquiry/index.html. Make sure to register to receive your discount and input the two part numbers into the form by following the link provided.

The rubber on these moldings/trims is junk, designed to deteriorate every 3-4 yrs even if you clean them with a cotton swab and park your Mini in a garage. Eachs cost $150-$165. When I'm done with this car, I'll have spent $1200-$1600 on these trims.

I did a quick fix and it works rather nicely with 1 inch wide electrical tape and fold it you cannot even tell the difference...everyone asked if I bought new pieces....shhhh!!!! My secret.
They install into the back with screws. Here is a picture of the parts to help you.
They are orientated like they would be installed on the primary picture. Make sure to check that the rubber not worn all the way through and rubbing the paint.
