I noticed a piece of what looked like black electrical tape on the back side of my mirror (driver's side). When I took it off, I found it has an electrical circuit on the sticky side.



Anyone know what this is? I don't have a rain-sensing windshield or light-sensing headlights, so I'm at a loss.

The only text on it says (on the left side):

(c) 2006 ALIEN


And on the right side:

1800064

Just Google "Alien 1800064". It looks like it was an RFID tag for inventory control during manufacturing: http://www.alientechnology.com/docs/...0_Squiggle.pdf

 

Of course it is....

I figured it was a RFID tag, but somehow didn't think to Google it. Go figure.
