Reverse Sensors/Park Distance Control

I have a bike rack on the back of my mini, so the back up sensor (PDC) is very disruptive when I am in reverse. How do I deactivate it, or at least lower the volume?

2008 Mini Cooper S Convertible

THANKS!!

You can adjust the beep's volume -- next time you are backing up and it's going beep beep beep THEN reach for the volume **** and adjust. It'll remember.

Ditto all of the other chimes, iirc.

The 2008 Convertible is still a first-gen model, so the beep volume isn't user-adjustable. It can be adjusted, but the dealer has to do it.

Thanks. I tried it on my 2008 without success. Assumed that it was a generational thing.
