Sounds like a deal.. Just a little less than I paid for my '04 early last year.. it had a LOT on it but 24K miles..

I would think it wouldn't last too long since the '06 was the last of the supercharged cars.

FYI, there are some posts here on NAM from folks who are getting less-than-expected gas mileage from S's. I don't remember now exactly how low, sorry. If this is a concern for you, do a search on "mpg" "low mileage". Good luck.

That sounds like a decent deal to me. As for mileage I average 28 in town & 31 on the highway on my 06 MCS. You'll be happy with that car for sure.

Well the prob. with haggling, is that it is at a Carmax, and I heard that they don't haggle. You either purchase at their price or not. Am I wrong? The other thing that makes me nervous, is that even though the car has low miles, the warranty will expire a little over a year into my 5 year loan, due to the "so many years OR so many miles" The years will come first and Im scared that I will be stuck making payments on a car for 4 years that will require a boat load of money for maintenance due to it being outside of warranty. Any thoughts?

Carmax does has a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty you can buy. I guess the big question would be how much it is and what kind of stuff it covers.

MB72378:
Do a search on warranties. The jury is definitely out, and bottom line, buy the extended warranty very carefully, as they exclude practically everything. I still haven't decided whether to get one or not. It's easier for me to keep with the inertia and not. someone recommended a AAA east coast edxtended warranty product. They don't sell it here in my market though.
Good luck!

Well all, I have decided just to pursue a new 09' mini s. I can get exactly what I want for $2000 more than what the used one is. According to Carmax, they want $2300 for an extended warranty, so a new one with a great warranty is pretty much cheaper than the used one with warranty. I have a quote from my local dealer for this:

2009 Cooper S
Chili Red white roof
white bonnet stripes
17" web spokes
cloth seats
rooster red color line
$24,394 (after my $1000 deposit)

I didnt include the $1000 cause I would pay cash for that. Then I would put another down payment and finance the rest. I think this would be better. What do you guys think?
