I rotate my tires in an X form I suppose. Front Driver to back passenger and front passenger to back driver. Also, I do it at 5,000miles or if they tread starts to become bare prior to the mileage limit.

The tires have directional arrows don't they? So they will have to stay on the same side of the car they were when you rotate them.

Back to front, at least every 5000 miles.

I guess you would need two jacks, unless, like some VW's, a jack on the front jacking point can get the whole side off of the ground. I've never jacked up my MINI (in both weeks of ownership).

The front jacking point on each side will lift both the front and rear tire off the ground. It makes it easy to do the back to front rotation. Do it at 5000 miles so that you don't encounter the problem with having significantly more tread on the front tire than the back tire . . . you will have a little more tread on the front than the back but not enough to experience snap oversteer or the other horrors in the files of the tire corporation lawyers.

Rotating Mini Tires

I took your advice to rotate every 5000 miles and the jack will lift both tires on the same, side so your working on the same side and then you move to the other side !! Works like a charm even foe an old f--t like me . What happens to the TPMS indicator? Bill

Keep em on the same side, and switch front and back.
