I Think I Shot a Bear!

Greetings Fellow Mini Colleagues!

I just got back from Minneapolis to pick up an ‘06 MCS JCW this weekend. 4796 miles and it’s loaded; doesn’t seem to have much missing off the option list. It was ordered and owned by a mega-rich guy in his 70’s. He traded it in on an Audi S4 in November and the dealer severely discounted the trade in. They miss-advertised it (never mentioned it was a JCW) and after having it sit around for a few months they took my low ball offer.

I'm coming from riding motorcycles; did 90,000 miles and 44 states over the last decade and wanted to get into a convertible. I think I found a great new option for my need for speed – this thing moves in the same league as my bikes did and corners like it’s on rails. Pictures up soon, film at 11:00.

Read a ton here about minis before making the leap – thanks for all the great info and I look forward to seeing some of you on the road.

So let the games begin! Upper and lower strut braces, high flow air filter and spring trip planning here I come!

OMG what a steal... you lucky b@stard.

Welcome - and congrats!

That's exactly how I feel about my hopped-up cabrio - after driving it almost 27,000 miles.

Keep enjoying it.

You suck!

j/k! Nice job! You stole it considering I was happy wth 22K for an '05 MCc with 3x that mileage.

oh, and welcome from another avid motorcyclist who went to convertibles (it's too frickin' hot to have all the "required" safety gear like full face helmets, jackets, pants, boots, etc). It's much nicer being able to wear shorts, t-shirts, and turn on the a/c with the top down

+1. You got what I would have gotten if cost had been NO object, AND you paid $4000 less! The purity of the enjoyment should increase by 23.445781289%.
