Hi folks,
I have a 2005 MCS Convertible and have recently had my top replaced under warranty (it had worn thru the fabric outer layer in four distinct spots...I put my top down alot...always open...). Since they have replaced the top, I have noticed alot of wind noise around the top of the "A" pillar where the top attaches on the drivers side. The top does not leak, but there is definitely noticable wind noise. The dealer has assured me that the top is installed correctly. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggetions?

My dad and i had a similar experience with our mini. It's an 05 and about a year ago, the dealer replaced the top, due to some kind of recall or something. We now have some wind noise around the passenger side A pillar. I had figured this was due to an incident shortly after the replacement of the top, in which my dad locked both keys and the spare key into the car and slid a coat hanger in between the top section and the rail it slides on to unlock it. I noticed the noise about a week after this. I thought he damaged the seal or something, but it is quite possible we just didn't notice the noise until later and erroneously blamed his sloppy break-in for it. I have been hunting around for a replacement seal and the closest i have found is this:

See number nine in the picture? I'm not positive, but i think that's it... I don't know where to buy it though. So if you find anything, let me know.
