Bearing ladder seeping? what now?
I first must start by say what has been replaced in the last two years.
The crank sensor o-ring
The cam sensor o-ring
The oil pan gasket (twice) The second time I replaced every single bolt with OEM new MINI.
The timing cover gasket and oil pump gaskets. I used sealer as required where the ladder joins the case.
The entire oil filter housing assy
The valve cover gasket
The spark plug well gaskets
All the valve cover bolts were replaced with new OEM MINI
The crank seal (front)
Both timing chain guide plug o-rings
I still have seepage on the lower back edge of the oil pan gasket. It's right below the oil filter housing. The oil filter housing looks dry.
This is really starting to rattle me that this car can't hold oil. I'm starting to suspect the bearing ladder is seeping.
