I'm still here. I continue to mod my Cooper as funds permit. I want IE fixed camber plates next. If and when I need new dampers I'm leaning towards the FSDs. I'm very much in love with my car. I'm intrigued and curious about the R56, but I'm nowhere close to getting rid my R50. By the time I need a new car maybe the 3rd generation MINI will be out.
Hey my first post here. And from Australia.
I have an '02 cooper, which I use to teach peple to drive with.
Up to 120,000km (about 75,000 miles). i found you guys googling a power steer fault...oh and thanks for the help too.
Just about to turn over 50k miles and going strong...I like the stiff suspension of the early models. I ditched the runflats in favor of Yoko ES100's about 10k miles ago. No intake or pulley yet but that will change this year. I installed a rear swaybar a couple years ago. I also added Hella fog lights and some other little I/E stuff.
'02 here to with 44+k miles and purchased (pre-leased) 2 years ago with 17k. I run KWD2's in the summer and Blizzaks in the winter defying the need for a spare. The mods list grows steadily and I don't think I'll stop. It's just too darned fun! Some day the MINI's skin will rust away and I'll have a whole new MINI of mods pop out from the carcass.
