The Aux in worked on our 04. It plugs into the back of the radio. The 05 radio should support it.

56K miles - the above post says it all!
Bought in June of 2002. I used it for teh first three years, and then gave it to my son when he got his license. He still babies the car, and it is near perfect, contrary to what you would expect from a teenager!

Another 02'er
Have an '02 here - 55k miles on it (I bought it last year with only 40k!).
Had an '03 back in 2003 (only had it a few months before I totalled it), and I specifically looked for 02-04's when I went looking for my new one. The new Minis are all plasticly on the inside

So.
On July 29, of 2006, I bought a lottery scratch ticket on my way in to work (I was managing an Advance Auto at the time). I opened the store, and scratched the ticket, when lo and behold, I hit for $20,000.00. After I changed my underwear, I paid off some bills, and called the man I buy all my cars from (Cohasset Imports, Cohasset, MA. One of the few honest used car dealers). He had a 2002 MCS in Chili red w/ a black hat. 18,600 miles and cherry shape! He sold me the car for $17,500.00.
Emily now has 30,900 miles on her, and is completely stock. She was built in August of '02, and has had none of the issues associated with early S's.
As I've mentioned in some previous posts, I've been detailing high-end cars for about 25 years now, and this is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven.
I'm selling her, but only because of some life-style changes I'm making.
An absolutely awesome car.

I have two 02 MINI's, one Cooper and an S. Took delivery of the Cooper on May 31, 02. The S was the first MINI ordered in the country by it's previous owner, pbraun. The S sees several track days each year and has only 24k miles on it. Mods have it up to around 230 hp. The Cooper is my daily driver as long as it's not raining and not winter. It has 55k on it. No major problems on either car and can't imagine selling either one....ever.
My true daily driver is an 05 Scion xB, which gets me through the salt season here in the Northeast. Driving this 'toaster' makes me appreciate the MINI's even more. Can't wait til they're back on the road this spring. Got to get ready for Watkins Glen and Lime Rock back to back weekends in early May.

Hey, are those dark silver matching wheels there or just gunmetal grey? I almost went for match the DS but liked the black more.
They are 100% DS. They match perfecty. I wasn't sure how i felt about them when I saw them on the car online, but when I went to see it in person, I left with it the same day. Computer doesn't do these wheels justice.
Picked miy Mini up on 30 July 2002 upgraded it to a JCWS in 2003. I have added the 2nd stage air box, enhanced the brakes, customized 17 x 7 OZ racing wheels, 2004 head unit, carbon fiber detailing, Promini gauge cluster removed the rear seat and re-carpeted, custom American flag roof. I moved to the UK in April 2005 and brought her over with me. In July 2006 In the summer of 2006 I spent two days driving the Nurbergring and cannot wait to get back there

I just had a thought today while driving to the coffee shop (it could happen!). When I first got my MINI in Feb of '02, for about the first 6 to 8 months, I would get extremely excited if I saw another MINI. Maybe one a month, if that. Today, in a 13 mile drive -mostly country- I saw seven of the little devils. All but one person (spoilsport!) waved. I think we're taking over the world...

I have an 02 S that I picked up on October 2002. It has 86k miles and I have had no issues at all with it. My plates are WEEONE and I am getting a Can Am Spyder in a week. Those license plates will be WEETOO!
'02 British Racing Green, white roof - 41,000 miles. Running Strong. Wanting to do some upgrades and mods since its pretty much stock.
Anyone know if we can get the mini mechanics manuel from the dealership or anywhere else??
