Good Christmas Gift for MINI Man

How does a 17% pulley sound for a Christmas gift? I am trying to figure out something to get my husband that is not toooo expensive. Any ideas would help greatly!!

I'd be really pleased if my wife gave me one!!!

But remember unless he is going to do it himself, the pulley is around $120 and install will be another $250. But I guarantee that it would put a smile on his face, every time he steps on the gas...

Other mods would be a rear sway bar $175 for an Hotchkis but install is maybe $75 or $100.

Or an MS Upper Strut Bar, $200 and he could install himself...

BTW he should definitely keep you; my wife won't let me buy mods for the MINI at this time, something about needing all the $$$ for Christmas Gifts! Bah Humbug

Man, if only my wife thought like you!

That's a great idea! Is he handy, meaning does he work on cars at all? The reason I ask is that installing this can intimidate many of us NAMers. There's also special tools needed to swap the pulley out, which you can purchase or rent.

But overall, great idea.

suggestions

Depending on what you want to spend I have suggestions (I have provided this to my SO as well).

The 17% pulley is a great idea, but will cost more for labor then for the part, keep that in mind if you get it.

here are some ideas he could install quickly and relatively easily
Whalen shift **** - 130-150 : I got one yesterday for my birthday.
Glove Box Organizer - A MUST
Mini Eyes - 20 bucks and easy and cute.
Strut brace - 150-300 depending on brand - a JCW can be about 250
Rear Sway Bar - like an alta 19mm - about 200
Cold Air Intake - ranges from 100-400 or so

He is quite handy. I plan on getting him the tool so he can do the installation himself. He used to be a mechanic but now is a bodyman. Two good things when you own 6 cars!

I will tell him you said to keep me! I need all the help I can get! lol Thanks for your help!

Now only if I can keep him out from under the tree!

that would be a great gift....don't forget the shorter belt to go with it!

my wife gave me an alta intake last year for christmas...before i had my car.

Then, my last present was my build sheet and aero grill! She snuck the order in early! She rocks....

i use to get car parts for my bday and xmas presents from the wife..

but i hate letting go parts that have sentimental value when its time to
sell the car. so now i only ask for tools and stuff i use around the garage.
i can use it for a life time.

any guy would appreciate anything made out of CF.. how about the
AutoArt tissue box? $90. how about tools? ratchets? Detailers Paradise
has somce nice Beta tool sets. those would be the schits if he doesn't
have real tools yet. etc. etc. Griot's has Facoms, etc.
