Any one have pics of that combo? How about some opinions?

 

BRG was our second choice. But MrsDiff wanted a Black Roof. I like the Silver roof on the Purple Haze and on the new Space Blue. I also like the new Royal Gray/Silver

 

I ordered brg/silver . . . so I like.

The park lane photos show this combo, i think.

 

I dont think that would be a good combo.

I think silver would only look good with black. Silver roofs suck in my opinion.

I do reccommend seeing the combo in the flesh though. It's the only way to tell if its cool or not.

 

But how do you really feel about it, Matt?

 

I think BRG/Silver with silver wheels and silver bonnet stripes would look great.

 

I think that BRG/S would be beautiful! I like the silver roof option available now. I may have gotten JB/S if it had been available when I spec'd Wanda. Are you considering this, Jerry? For Teresa? Hmmmmmmm? :smile:

I am of course assuming it's an S, which it bloody well should be.

 

Oh, most definitely an S. Not going to take delivery till May/June, but want to see what the new colors look like, opitons, etc. Teresa and I have never actually driven an S, so we want to test drive it. We are still thinking about a G35, but keeping our options open.

And there is no way you are Zainoing our car. T has way to much fun doing it to let anyone else near it. You should see her stroke and caress it... the car I mean....

You know, I was intially very excited about the silver roof, but then when I saw it in pictures of arrived 06's I was like WTH is that ugly crap?

So now I really want to see it in the flesh.

Same combo I am considering....would be nice to see it first but I may be ordering brg/silver this week....

 

I have a BRG/S MCS on order. Just got my production number last week. I won't be able to show any pictures until mid-to-late january, though.

I'm also going to get a chrome grill to go on it, but not chrome mirror caps. And I'll probably install the base model style gas door (I don't like that the S-style gas door isn't flush to the body). Interior will be anthracite with the anthracite headliner and chrome lining. All in all, I think it's going to look way nicer than a lot of cars that cost 50% more.

 

I like the BRG and silver roof... just not together. BRG with white is cool. Astro Black w/ silver roof and stripes sounds really nice to me! Purple Haze and silver looks really great too.

 

I like the silver roofs. To me (flame suit on!) the white is just a little *too much* for my tastes. the roof isn't bad, but the mirror caps really bug me.

Plus, i am a sunroof kind of guy, and i don't like the big black cutout of the white. But, I guess this is why there are options, right?

The silver gives the lighter roof effect without the ultra contrast of the white, it's just a little more subtle. I saw it in person on a space blue and it was quite nice. Doesn't really hide the sunroof, but oh well. I think a non-sunroof silver top looks great!

I think it would be great on a BRG, and the metallic of the silver would help pick up the metallic in our Faux BRG. (ugh...if it were true flat BRG, i would be there in an instant!!!)

So, yeah, my vote is go for it!

I test drove a BRG/silver S at Motor City MINI and it directly led to my obsessive compulsive, insane person search for the affordable MINI that I pick up...wait for it...TOMORROW! It's a BRG/White S with white stripes and it almost looks just like my old classic -- BRG/White roof with white stripes.

The BRG/Silver combo looks fantastic in my opinion, but you should see it in person before you order it. It really is classy and different.

 

Shoot, I forgot I started this thread. The BRG/S MCS/JCW, aka "Green Egg and Ham" is on order, but no production number yet.
