It took Classic MINI almost 2 months to deliver Nuts and Bolt???

This is just frustrating to order parts from Classic MINI in Mentor, OH. I bought my MCS there in 2002 and I loved their service department plus the NAM discount. But ordering parts from them via the phone really is a pain recently.

I live in Grand Rapids, MI and I ordered a set of nuts for the front struts and a set of bolts for the manifold on October 18th. Get this, They are now (12/1/2006) just shipping them to me.

The first hitch was that they had to order the nuts or bolts because they did not stock them. That took about 2 weeks, I think. Then there was a address problem. They sent them to my old address after I specifically told them to send it to my new address, so it came back to them. Then I asked for the tracking number via email. Never got it. he said that he sent it Friday November 24. I called again about the email. The parts manager said that he would send it. I waited 2 days. Never got it. Called them just this morning and the manager forgot to send it. You notice a pattern... Well, finally they gave me a tracking number and that it would be at my door Tuesday.

I think that there is no excuse for this. It's good that I ordered through Patrick MINI in Chicagoland. Even better service and parts department. I got parts in 3 days. Plus the shipping was $6 cheaper to ship.

Just venting to high heaven....
Carl

Thats too bad.....I've had nothing but top notch service from Classic both from the sales side and from the service side.....to me, they seem to really try to keep the customer happy.

I got an order from them recently and had no problems. They did have to order the bits I ordered which wasn't to much of a problem since it was a odd part.

Hopefully yours is just an isolated cased.

I'm sorry for your frustrations! Yeah, I hope it's an isolated incident. I've had great experiences all around with Classic...

This is the first time I have been frustrated with Classic. I just needed to vent. I might go with Patrick for the small parts and go to Classic the bigger ticket items.

I sent a message to mike at classic who is a moderator in NAM. This is just to remind him that it only takes one time to lose a customer sometimes.

That's certainly not the same experience I've had with Classic over the years. I've ordered many parts from them from aero parts down to individual fasteners and bolts. I've not only never had any problems, I've been downright impressed with the great phone service and quick delivery with all my parts. Even the special order parts have arrived quickly.

It's too bad that you had a problem and I hope others don't avoid them because of your unfortunate problems.

I've had nothing but great service from the good folks at Classic. Sorry you had a problem, everyone has an off day every now & then. Give em a second chance.

It depends, classic is like that.

they are very on and off like that with parts.

ive had to reorder things a few times before because they didnt rear my part numbers right, even when i write them down and bring them in for them to look at.

Steve, Jayson, Paul and I are pretty much on a first name basis these days, and they still mess stuff up from time to time.
