Whoa! That was one of the thrills of my lifetime, and I've had a few at my age.
There were easily over 100 Minis on the track for two laps and it was just off the hook!
I can now see why so many of our Mini friends talk about track days, particularly at professional tracks.
This may have been just old hat to some, but coming down the hill at the "corkscrew" of Laguna Seca Raceway at speed was really a thrill!
So glad we got to go around a second time to really put the steam on.

Lots of our beloved Vendors we've all come to know and love there. This has been a thrilling weekend here in Monterey, CA!

MTTS starts tomorrow! Pirate's Cove! Can't wait!

Imagine how crazy it would have been if you'd been on the old cork screw! The new version has been toned down for improved safety.

 

It wasn't so much a track day as a few parade laps during the Monterey Historics...

Todd and I shot some footage from his GP during our laps on Saturday. Not sure how it came out, we were forced to resort to Plan B when his camera didn't want to play along with the VacuCam system.

Hopefully Todd will have some video on White Roof Radio in the next day or so.

There was another camera or two filming the laps on Saturday, but I don't have the details on where that video is headed.

 

I was driving one of the convertibles with the camera people in it. I think they got some AWESOME video and pictures !!!

That was a blast driving on laguna seca and with the camera people haning on it was even more fun.

Now I cant wait to get out there in MY CAR!

 

I drove it too!! First time for me and It was such a blast!! My daughter (whos 9) sat in the front and we got amatuer video on my Kodak DX6490. My son (who's 7) sat laughing in the back almost the whole time. He loved it. I think theyre addicted now! I'm glad they decided to let us go after all, because we waited an hour in the car earlier and didnt get to run the track and I got really upset. So it was worth staying till the end!!
