If you want some serious wave/stare action, just drive behind or pass a school bus

& if the other driver doesn't , he/she most likely isn't aware that by driving a MINI you automaticity become a member of a very exclusive group of people who are by the grace of the GODS better then everyone else
No Honking....... unless there's a Greyhound bus bearing down on you
I always wave at other MINI owners. Sadly, not very many wave back. The true MINI enthusiasts (us) are sadly rising only a little. I would say the majority of MINI's are now owned by "regular" people, and it's just a car to them. A to B, done.
I always honk first, then wave. Usually I drive with my windows down, so I make sure to start waving before they reach me, and I stick my arm out of the window pretty far, you know....to get a good wave!

All non-wavers should die!

I always feel dumb when the driver doesnt wave back, so now I put my hand up like I am about to wave and then wait to see if the other driver has his/her hand up like they are going to wave and we wave at the same time or not at all. Wow, that is stupid.
There are a lot of female MINI drivers here that look straight forward like you dont have a MINI too, they hardly ever wave so I often dont even try if it a female driver, sorry ladies. But also some guys act all macho in their MINI like they dont see you, which is equally lame. I guess with all of the rules I am just as bad though.
I always wave if it is modded and looks badass though. The modded MINI's always wave back as they are enthusiasts and appreciate other modded MINI's.

ALWAYS. And flash lights, and blow horn.
There's not too many of them around where I live (hour South of Cleveland), so we all pretty much wave and flash at each other...
Although, I have been dissed quite a few times.

Personally, I think it would be great if the Nav could let me know if there was another Mini in close proximity
" 'ello old chap, there is another Mini that will be passin' on the left in a few seconds. Be a good show and offer them a wave and smile! Cheerio! "

As I've mentioned before, the Bay Area is filthy with MINIs... this week I think I've given a wave to about thirty... with two responses: an older couple nodding, and a beeeeautiful girl smiling and waving.
On a cycling ride yesterday (my return commute over the bridge) I spotted 14 MINIs, 4 of them Pepper White like mine. Record for a commute day so far...(one direction)

Who cares, I take pride in owning a Mini.

Perhaps built it into the engine computer!

Yeah, anyway, into my second week of MINI-dom I am the wave instigator and have probably had a 60% return.
There is a Mini that lives near me and she waves too! I love this about the MINI!

Here in the Kansas City area waves are pretty common. I have tinted windows, so I usually flash lights or toot the horn. More than half the MINI's owners respond.
Yes, there are lots of MINI owners who treat their cars as "point a to point b transportation, period". That's ok, though. In fact, I'd sacrifice all the waves, honks and light-flashing in trade of having cars the size of MINI be the norm...

Wave, flash (the lights), honk whatever it takes to communicate. I live near an auto auction and sometimes I get a non MINI owner moving a car and they just give me the look that says "what kind of idiot are you ???
