I received my order confirmation number from my broker (HM Brown) today with production in April and delivery in June so I thought I might as well start the new club off. Mine is to be an Electric Blue "S" with premium & Cold Weather packages plus 17" wheels and HK sound system. I can't wait for it! I owned a Spanish MINI in 1973 with a 1000cc engine and I loved it.

Wow! Is it that time already? It's never too early to start a CWFxC! Good luck!

Cheers,
Ryan

I'm getting ready to order my Cooper today for a late June delivery!
I'll be returning my leased 2000 Honda Accord for my new baby...
a chili red, white bonnet-striped Mini w/ LUCKY13 plates.
It'll definitely be worth the wait. See you on the roads!

Hello from Missouri. Some of you may recognize the name "MissouriMini", as I am a former member of the "I can't wait for March" club.

Believe it or not, but after waiting for 4 months for my MCS, I had to tell the dealer I could not take the car because I got laid off from my job unexpectedly. Bad ecomony, etc, etc. Anyway, I have recently found things improving enough to try again, so I have reordered and delivery is now June, 2003.

Here are my specs: MCS LY/W Premuim and Cold Weather packages, Zenons, HK, Fog lamps, Sensing wipers, Anthracite. I also plan to get aftermarket upgraded wheels and other goodies. If my money situation improves, I might even consider the John Cooper Works kit. I will be watching the MCO over the next couple of months for comments/impressions on this kit to see if I want to take the plunge

Anyway, I look forward to working with all you June club people as we share the wait! Its a great way to pass the time and, over time, I can share with you all the tricks I learned from my previous "club" experience.

I may be joining this club soon... high mileage on my car means if I drive it too much more I'll start to get charged. My sister may take my car and I might get the MINI early!

So I'll pose a question. Do you think, before they ship the car across the pond, they can just drop it off at Hartge and THEN ship it over? Or if I go over there and pick it up from the factory, have Hartge take care of it, then drive it back to the factory to be shipped? Anyone have any ideas? My family may be taking a trip to England with simmilar timing, so this could be an option. I just don't want to have to pay for the shipping.

I dunno.... MissouriMini sure looks to me like the prime candidate for "List Keeper" - lots of good qualities: experience, zeal (he tried to start his own club already! ) and stamina!

...You need a few more clubbers, but I'm sure they'll join shortly!

Best of luck on a great Club!

Consider me in. I placed my order and made the downpayment last week. Have a production date of April 25. I almost took a Cooper off the lot, but looked deep into my soul and ordered an S. Getting the Gertag will be worth the wait. So, what do we do now to keep busy until the big day arrives? I'm cleaning all the stuff out of my tiny little garage.

Time to chime in!

As the founder of the First Can't Wait For Club, I've taken it upon myself to issue all follow-on Clubs what we call the "November Challenge". It's based upon page views. November 2002 ended up with something like 5,500 views. However, we were completely blown out of the water by every Club since. Check the ones over 25,000!

Your number, CWFJC, should you accept the challenge is ............ (wait for it.............) 30,000 page views. Ta Da!

WOW - that takes my breath away. Go for it - you've got lots of time - and the clock doesn't end in June, 'cause some of you will take delivery in July, or, unfortunately, maybe even August.

And I'd be remiss in my duties if I didn't invite all June Clubbers HERE! You'll have your MINIs and you'll have a blast! Guaranteed!

Challenge accepted or what?

I think the acronym may need to be CWFJnC and July's Club (when it is formed) might need to be CWFJyC. ...or something along those lines, anyhow. January already claimed CWFJC.

BTW, how are March and May differentiating? :???:

Cheers to Gabriel and Baron BMW for helping me fulfill my "motoring dreams"!

Howdy Guys and Gals,

I have my production number and expect delivery the first of June.

Here's the deal:
Chili Red/White Mini Cooper S with sunroof.
Spots and Stripes
Cloth Seats with silver interior. Black bolsters and door panels.
Options Pack #1 and #2.
Silver 17" S-lites to be replaced with R90's shortly after arrival.
Auto Dimmer/Wipers
Euro Shelf
Full 6-switch toggle panel
Glovebox organizer

Planned mods: Borla Exhaust, Madness Intake, brake pads, shift **** (maybe).
Planned mods after warranty is 'bout up: 15% reduction pulley

And to think I was going to go conservative at first with dark silver and chrome MC grill, etc.

See ya,
JS

Got an unexpected call from the dealership yesterday and were told that our order had been placed 4 weeks early. Looks like we're gonna be in the June club instead of what we thought was going to be late July/early August. Now we're looking forward to all the fun summer brings instead of fall.

Hello everyone. I'm a new member to MCO, but I just placed an order for an IB/W MCS from Mini of the Hamptons. My Motoring Advisor tells me that I should take delivery in June so I guess that means I'm of member of the club!

The specs:

Cold weather package; 16" V-spoke; Xenon; DSC; Black Leather; HK sound; Rally lights; White bonnet strips.

My birthday is in June so this will be a great gift!

I find myself driving into the BMW dealership lot at least two times a week after
work, longingly staring at the MINI's in the lot. I still have 90 days to wait, and
I'm losing it!! LOL

Hey BJ....I ordered from Schomp last week also. They are saying the orders are getting here sooner than later. When I called to get the actual order...check Schomp's paperwork, the VIN/build was already started. The wait is a tough call. Keep us posted, would like to know if both our cars are on the same line, build dates, etc.

This is a fun topic.....wait is making me nuts and only one week into it.

Sandy

emagineer,
I hope your right about the sooner than later. The Owner's Lounge says that I'm still scheduled for production on April 11. Can't waite to drive it up Poudre Canyon or some deserted roads in WYO!

I'll keep in touch.

You can count me in too, I just put my money down last week on a Eb/w MCS. My wife said when I get a speeding ticket the car is her's until she gets a ticket. Just in case that happens, do you know any cops who take bribes to give people tickets? . Is it june yet????

After the way my wife test drove the S, maybe your wife will find the same thing out. Its just more fun to go a little faster and turn a little harder. I bet she gets a ticket in the same amount of time that you do.
