Lucky13,

You can find out what ship your car is on by going to the Willenius Wilhelmson website.

Select Track Cargo by Auto and enter the last 7 characters of your VIN number. Then you should see what ship your car is on.

If you want to see that ship's sailing schedule, select the Schedules link on the left-hand side of the website.

Select search by vessel. Type in the vessel name (Carmen, for example), and you'll see the ship's sailing schedule, ports, etc.

Thanks prof! My cooper is on the Carmen and it just left today! It's scheduled to dock in New York on May 19th. Looks like I'm looking at an early June delivery. Anyone else have their MINI on it's way across the pond?

not quite yet. mine is due to be produced the week of may 16th... this week! so it's getting really hard to wait. i know i will be checking the shipping site all week, with so many cars being produced early. i did the ask mini thing on thursday and i was status 150. but i hate bothering them everyday. but i may just have to do it anyway this week. i may not be able to help myself. so... anyone else scheduled for production on the 16th?

So, I ordered my DS/B MCS here in Atlanta on 03/28/03 and the Owners' Lounge tracker shows my estimated production date as 05/16/03 .... is there anything else I should check to try to determine when it will be built, when it will arrive here, etc.? I find myself wondering about this all of the time .... I'm really looking forward to driving my new little go-kart .... my Audi A6 4.2 is fun, but I can't wait to turn it in off lease 06/14/03 and, hopefully, pick-up my Mini THEN!

cstrassburger,

You may want to call 1-866-ASK-MINI because your car may already be completed. From what I understand, the production date is actually a "produced by" date.

For my IB/W Cooper S, I was given a production date of 05/09/03 ... but when I called the 866 #, they told me that my car was actually completed on 04/30/03 and was on its way to the dock on 05/01/03. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my car was sitting on the dock for over a week waiting for the Carmen on 05/10/03.

Well, it looks like my cooper will be here in May! The website shows an estimated delivery date of 5/23! Does anyone else have their car on the Carmen?

My MINI has arrived!!! I ordered it for a late June delivery and its already here!
By the way, fellow June clubbers, the MINI website is very slow and is usually
a step behind the true status of your car. My page on the site says the car is still
at the distribution center. if you want a more accurate idea of when you can expect your
MINI, go to "order details" and look at the estimated delivery date. My date was for today,
and I just got the call...can't wait to go visit!

>>so... anyone else scheduled for production on the 16th?

I was originally scheduled for 5/23 but it was finished on 5/16. He's now booked on the "Grand Race" to sail on 5/28 and arrive Port Hueneme (SoCal) on 6/17. Definitely check the shipping site because the OL still says mine is "scheduled for production" while the shipping site says it's at the port and booked.

You can check the shipping site to see which ship it's on and when it should arrive. All you need is the last 7 of your VIN, which you can get from your order details in the Owners Lounge if you don't have it.

Luthier,

damn, i'm jealous...mine won't leave the UK until 5/28, arrive in SoCal on 6/17! The cargo tracking is cool but is making me way too obsessive. Have fun motoring!

What is everyone doing with this maddening wait? My ship should be in port today/tomorrow.....dry land for MINI. Without a clue as to how long transport will take, dealer says 2 - 3 weeks.....am hoping they are wrong and it gets here way sooner than later.

Do give you some idea of the wait, my Cooper got off the boat on May 19th and it should be here in Detroit tomorrow. So from NJ to Detroit is a little less than 2 weeks. But it could be more depending on where you are and how long it takes to go through the distribution center.

Talk about a maddening wait! My car is HERE at the lot, less than 15 miles from my
house, and I can't pic it up till the 20th, when my other car lease is up!
ARG!

My car was on the tancred which leaves Pt. Hueneme on 5/30 for Washington, arriving 6/2. This means my car is now on land, today. Wish we could track car transports....Anyone heading to Denver from Hueneme this week/next week ?

Yours must be on the same boat with my baby.
The name of the vessel is TOSCA and I will never forget it.
Hope our babies get to the final destination sooner!!
