What kind of mileage are folks getting with the non-S version?

My best on the highway was 32 mpg, but I was also averaging about 80-85 mph, so that doesn't do well on mileage. Around down I get 27-29. Never below 27, though.

On my 03 MC, I averaged 33 mpg on the first tank. Combination of highway and city driving. I am about 3/4 way through the second tank, so it will be interesting to see the results.

Got 35mpg on the freeway at a steady 75-80mph; usually get 27-30mpg mixed city/hwy. I don't try to keep my foot out of it.

I got 36.9mpg on the first 3 tanks or 1,205 miles. This was break-in milage and consisted of about 85% highway 15% city.

The 4th tank was 90% city and 10% highway and I got 29.2mpg.

I don't drive Cousin MINI too hard but she stays out of everybodys way!

First tank 34MPG all highway with the exception of no more than 10 to 15 miles city. Daily driving now I'm getting 30 mpg, with about a 50/50 mix of city and highway driving

A guy on mini2 posted today with 63 miles per gallon
It was in some sort of fuel economy contest. Unbeleivable it seems, but apparently true.

I believe that was in Ireland, and was using Imperial gallons. Works out to something like 53mpg American. Still a staggering number. He said something about them coasting down hills and other things, so not what I would call a practical measure. Or any fun. These are probably the same people who indulge in trainspotting.

I don't know if I just have crappy software on my car or what the heck is going on, but I cannot get any higher than 18mpg for city driving (most of my driving right now), and I do NOT drive like a madman. Highway I get 34 mpg max - that's at 60-65 mph, constant speed, no hills. Clover, I think that your car's ECU could teach mine a few things about efficiency...
