My dealer put my order in on tuesday and I just got my production number today. I pulled up the order info about my car and it is wrong. it is showing it as having a CVT and leatheret not TARTAN RED cloth. What do I do. Do I start calling the dealer or do i wait and see if it fixes its self... Help me Obi-Wan your my only hope.

Have no fear young apprentice - The MINI computers are wacky when your order is first placed. In time, your car's correct spec will emerge. Have patience, young one

I think this happens to everyone. Happened to me. It takes a little time for the owner's lounge to show the car as you ordered it.

littlecajun,

You might just wnt to put a call in to your dealership to double-check. Even though the O.L. is inaccurate, your motoring advisor should have the correct specs. Just my .02!

Cheers!

Also to ensure that the order is accurate, ask your Motoring Advisor to send you a fax with the final and correct order specs for your car. This will act as a safety net in case the car arrives with the wrong interior, color, options, etc.

Don't trust the Owner's Lounge web page alone. Insist on a hard copy of the order for your records issued by the selling MINI dealer.

Many dealers pre-order cars just to get a spot, then they reconfigure it for you. I ordered mine Tuesday, and it took two days to sort itself out at the owner's lounge.

I actually had several hard copies made, before and after OL updated my specs.
You can never be too sure!!

Nope my order was perfect since day 1. Doesn't hurt to call the dealer to inform them of the situation...

For some reason, my dealer refuses to give me any printouts with any prices. I think they're afraid of quoting me one price since they're trying to sell me the tire/extended warranties. Pretty annoying. I've tried to get them to fax me something with prices and they've only called me with the numbers.

I agree that it doesn't hurt to call. My order was correct from day 1 - but then it changed during production. Even though I caught it and contacted MINIUSA about it, they misinformed me - and now I don't have the Xenons that I ordered.

I went by the dealer today to tell them what i found. They told me that they caught the mistake when they double checked the order, and told me that it will be fixed first thing monday morning. They even gave me a "S" to drive for a couple of hours to get my MINI fix untill mine comes in. (and im not even ordering a S)

I highly recommend checking any discrepancies with your dealer. I had read all the comments about don't worry, the initial Owners Lounge informaiton may be wrong but it will be corrected. When I followed up with my dealer I found they had the wrong color plus a few other mistakes. Definitely check with your dealer if you see any discrepancies. The worst thing that you'll find is that everything is ok.

My MINI arrived without the chrome inserts and with the wrong wheels....and this was after I verified my order with MINIUSA. Luckily, Crevier MINI, fixed things. It took a while but she's complete now....until I find another accessory I must have.
