Has anyone else had a problem with the rubber on the clutch pedal slipping?? Also, when it gets wet it gets extremely slippery and my foot has slipped off of it repeatedly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

HA! It's not just me!!! This drives me INSANE!!!

I don't know what you mean by chrome pedals, I have the (standard, I believe) pedals in my S--they appear to be brushed aluminum with little rubber stripey thingies that don't work for %@#! They're cute and all, but I'd really prefer solid rubber pedal grips so I didn't have to worry about it.

Argh.

PS. If this is the only thing that drives me insane, I suppose I shouldn't complain.

The clutch pedal has fallen off on my mini twice already! and the pedals get very slippery when it rains and your feet get wet. I was gonna buy the chrome pedals but i read on here somewhere thay you have the drill holes in your pedals and I really dont feel like doing all that.

That would have me in to see the service department so fast an impenentrable fog of fallen leaves would be blowing up off the ground as I drove by!
I have the standard Cooper and have some sort of rubbery pedals which have obstinately stayed where the factory placed them. My complaint is with WIDE shoes I sometimes wear that I find the edge of my shoe is pressing on the brake when I am pressing on the gas pedal (must seriously consider purchasing foo-foo F1 Nomex David Coulthard driving shoes in future). At least bits are not falling off.
That might be considered by some as almost as serious as loud fan noise with the auto A/C.

Driving here in Central PA, with all the snow, ice etc, I often get into my Mini with wet soles on my shoes. My foot routinely slips off the clutch pedal. I opted for a set of Sparco aluminum pedals with rubber inserts. They haven't arrived yet, so I can't provide any fit/performance details. But I will when I can report something.
