The actual Euro-spec ones have amber turn signals, not clear. The clear ones (with silver/amber bulb) are really "accessory" ones, considered by some as an upgrade. I bought and installed the amber ones though, and I love 'em.

I'll get you the part numbers as soon as I get a chance. Don't have them in front of me here though.

When you have a chance that'd be great, thanks a bunch!

Actually they are now factory stock on some of the '06 MCSs in the EU/UK (I can't remember which packages they're connected with).

Anyway I tried ordering them back in the spring of this year through the MINI USA ordering system (via my usual sources) and they weren't available to be shipped to the US due to DOT regs. Not sure if you can get around that or not.

How much it cost. This looks lot nicer than the all red jelly bean.

You can read a full review and find out how to buy them from the UK here: http://www.motoringfile.com/2005/08/...ights_reviewed

Heh, funny description

I actually like the simple red jellybean, but I do like to have amber lit turn signals.

Sorry L0KI... I found both the boxes the tail lights came in and the receipt for them... but no part numbers on either. I think the vendor pulled off the BMW sticker (there are remnants left) before shipping them out. Perhaps they don't want people knowing the part number and shopping around?

Anyway, I paid UK£63.50 for my pair of amber turn signal taillights. That worked out to around US$120 or so, plus shipping. The same website also has the clear turn signal ones with different bulb choices, ranging from UK£72.18 to UK£84.00. Check them out at www.newministuff.com.

Personally I like the actual amber plastic ones the best.

UPDATE: Oops! Seems there WAS a sticker on at least one of the boxes, with a part number... I'm not sure if there are two part numbers (one for each taillight) or one part number (both taillights on one part number) but here is the part number I have:

63 21 7 166 956

If indeed there are separate part numbers for each taillight, I'm sure the "other" taillight is only one digit off - i.e. 955 or 957 above.

Gabe,

Might I suggest you add a note to the bottom of your "white taillight" story about the amber turn signal model? A pic or two of them wouldn't hurt either.

I'm just figuring it's best to inform everybody of all the options... or else people may think the only two choices are "red" or "clear".
