Fuel feed line lock?

I recently purchased an R53 with a blown motor and partially dissembled. I swapped the engine and when I attempted to crank it, the fuel line blew off. I looked at the connection and it appears to be missing the mechanism that locks it on. Inside the hose is only the yellow o-ring. The only relevant part number I could find is 16126758054 is which the entire fuel line. If anyone has more information on how this hose locks and seals on the fuel rail, I would love to know.

Pretty sure you are missing a "locking" piece that goes in there. The plastic piece you show sitting on the intake normally doesn't come out.

Don't know how you can get that one piece. Maybe buy a used part and transfer over what you need?

Have you tried looking on real OEM at a diagram to see if you can get the individual part number? Try looking here.

Thanks for the replies. I did look at realoem and it appears that the fuel line is only sold as an assembly.

I found the locking clip in a box of parts and was able to lock the line on the rail, but it turns out that the yellow O-ring wasn't creating a seal and still leaked gas. I popped out the o-ring and used a spare fuel injector o-ring which happened to be almost the exact same size, maybe slightly larger and tighter. I scrapped the original clip and locked the line on with plumbers strap. It sounds really hack, but the line is now super secure and beats dropping the sub frame to replace the whole line.

Sounds like you don't need it anymore, but here's a photo of a larger fitting of the same style. This one is from a BMW power steering cooler
