AHHH! 7 More Sleeps...

7 more sleeps 'til I get my MINI. The wait is driving me crazy!!! :impatient I guess it's sort of a right of passage into MINIhood, but it's just tough to get through. The day before Easter was my "I'm getting a MINI!" moment, so it's been an over 6 months long process. Next Monday, baby!!

Welcome BgWc, you have all the qualifications to be an enthusiast; you talk MINI before getting a MINI, that’s involvement. It’s about time the site gets a broader gender mix.

I discovered the singles support group for the first time last night (I see you have a presence there) and laughed harder than I have in a long time that section is too real. Then today I read the food **** thread and discovered there’s a life beyond the mod section. Times are a changing.

Ha ha , it's safe to say one could enjoy many of the threads here without any knowledge or interest in MINIs whatsoever; though when you need someone to share your MINI-related excitement (or frustration), this is clearly the place to be. There's something for everyone!

Welcome, batgirlwildcat!

BTW - LOVE that name.

Seven nights time will drag - but it's worth the wait.

(Durn it, I have a string trimmer older than most of the people on this board...)

Hurray!! But you realize, of course, that there will be VERY little actual sleeping! And when you DO fall asleep, you will dream about motoring! Well, that was my experience, anyway....and I know I was not alone!

BTW, you'll be taking deliver on my birthday! Woo hoooo!

Are you implying that I'm young? I'll assume that you are and say "Thanks!" (as the dreaded twenty-tenth birthday looms just 'round the corner... )

SIX nights!

Sleeping okay? Strange how time drags when you are waiting for something like this, but a weekend on a good MINI road is over before you know it...

Time is not constant...

YAY LESS THAN A WEEK!!! Congrats my fellow Single Female. You won't be able to fight the boys off you once you get the mini, take it from my personal experience.

i waited years to get mine... because i was 17 when i wanted one

I just wish i went through the ordering process like i dreamed about so long... i just got my mini the day i started looking when i realized i could afford it Ok, so i'm REALLY impatient.

I actually went to sleep EARLY last night. I think I was so worked up during the day, I wore myself out with my MINI cravings! Only 6 more sleeps now...

That's what I'm counting on, my friend.

Every time I went up to the dealer to test drive or look at various features, it took all my willpower not to take a MINI home with me. But I knew I wanted the experience of ordering exactly what I wanted and then having to suffer the excrutiating pain of waiting for it. So very MINI!

Down to 5 more sleeps! I just spoke with my MA at R&D... she said they ran out of MINIs to sell, and that people visiting the dealership kept coming up and saying, "I want the black one" while pointing at MY MALIBU STACY! (You people in the Indianapolis area had better not be trying to steal her away from me. ) Apparently during the last few weeks that she's just been sitting there, they've been using her as a "decorative accessory", posing her near flags and such. I know she's hot, but she's MINE! :impatient And she shouldn't be showing off for anyone but ME!

Hang in there Malibu Stacy... I'm coming to gitcha!

Reunited and it feels so good...

Perhaps this is the batgirlwildcat thread...

Malibu Stacy is finally mine-all-mine! Now I know the suffering you all feel every day when you park your beloved MINIs at the far end of the parking lot, make the walk of pain into the office, and sit there all day missing your sweet, sweet ride. Work may suck sometimes, but at least I get a MINI-fix twice a day! And now for the unveiling... (Malibu Stacy, me, and my bro. Yes, my bro is wearing his Dragon shirt - correction, one of his Dragon shirts - and my pink vest exactly matches the sold sign my MA put in the windshield.)

Love your style! Here I am with Wanda on the pier in St. Pete, FL on my first Roadtrip in 2003. I motor down to see Mum in La Jolla all the time...you must have seen Wanda and been subliminally influenced!

Wanda is hot, Clo. I hope you had a nice birthday last week. I can't wait to take Malibu Stacy over to La Jolla for breakfast near the Cove and have NO PROBLEM fitting her into a parking spot!

Where do you like to have breakfast? And yeah...so much fun to park Wanda along the coast there!

The Coast Toast at Brockton Villa is delish! Plus a nice view of the Cove and all the divers, kayakers (sp?), swimmers, etc. Once you're stuffed to the gills (yes, ocean pun intended), walk it off with a stroll down to Children' Beach to see the seals.

Oh yeah.....Brockton Villa is a wonderful spot for breakfast! I grew up playing at Children's Beach almost all summer long. My Grandmother Clover lived a block away from CB for a while, then moved to La Jolla Shores. Great memories of the area when it was still a sleepy hamlet and the streets rolled up at 5 pm nightly! All that changed when UCSD came in....LOL!

You picked the best color out there - we know that the black ones go faster! You have one sweet ride!
