New Key costs how much!

Ok, so I new the mini would be a little more expensive than the Subaru, but $160 for a new key, plus I have to get it programmed. Just a little more than expected.

Thats all.

ps. bought the car used and it only came with one key so had to buy another. Still love the car though.

I paid $100 for the key plus $95 for the programming Tax was also added:impatient
My car came with 2 keys and a Valey Parking key(Plastic) You should get 2 keys with new car-somethings wrong here! Dealer is pulling your nose...Paul from Long Island/Habberstad did the work...

I think the service guy felt bad so he said he would program it for $30.

I've always been concerned about the previous owner keeping a key and then doing something dishonest.

I would try to track down the previous owner and ask how many keys they gave the dealer (if you got it through a dealer).

If they didn't give them all three keys, then ask them what happened to the other keys.

Maybe I worry too much.

Same price I paid for a 96 camaro key. I assumed a Mini would cost a bit more, but it's a good thing that it's not.

I bought used as well. They tried to tell me that I had to live with one key as well. I told them that I was no longer interested in the car. Miraculously, a new key showed up, no charge.
