Coast to coast (pampered)

Well its time for the Cooper to say goodbye to LA and its really nice roads (specially late at night). The ride is headed to New York and its own nice garage space in the city. Thought I shared some shots of the car been pampered in a nice empty truck (no pickups till New York on the back cabin!

That truck is HUGE!!

gotta love that...courtesy of the shipping company. I paid for it I guess

Lets get this puppy in there shall we!

"a little to the left and we are good to go"

strap it on...its the law!

ready to roll!
last pic with the truck closed I didn't post it because it has all the transportation company info numbers and website info and thought I shouldn't give free ads (although I am more than willing to give it out if your guys need it)
I Hope the car make it in one piece...cross your fingers
I'll report from the east coast as well.

Seeing as it's a car and all... why didn't you drive it to NY?

Looks like the type of truck the car arrived in from the VDC. Its like the car is just leaving one port and traveling to another

So well did you check the mileage on the car? Make sure the truck driver doesn't stop on some nice twisties on the way

Yeah! Why aren't you driving your MINI back east? It would be a fun roadtrip, for sure!

(Toastie and I are veteran roadtrippers....LOL!)

Thats a good question. But basically, I could use those extra days doing some work (I am starting a new bussines and need all the extra time I can during the summer to set up everything).
Plus I kind of like not adding an extra 3000 miles on a car that is only two months old.
I'll have plenty of time for trips. The first one will be the last week of Aug. where I'll travel along the east coast and visit some nice roads in South Carolina with a friend who just bought a nice Acura NSX.
I'll let you guys know how the Mini makes it to the other side.

I took Wanda on a 10,000+ mile roadtrip when she was a week old....was gone for 6+ weeks and went through 21 states. The highlight was attending the first MINI Meet at The Dragon in May 2003!

Good luck on your new venture, fdavid! Will you still be coming back to SoCal from time to time?
