My current S will prolly be sold this weekend, and new S is being built the week of March 7th so hopefully I will be in the April Club as well. Ordered a Black/White MCS with white wheels, black aero kit grill(not bumper), aero kit front license plate holder, clear taillights and that is it. Want it stripped down and light and thus the reason I am selling my current S which has everything cept nav and pdc.

 

OK, I'm beginning to wonder if lower production numbers really mean earlier build dates. Katiedidmini and rataha have the same production date, yet rataha's production number is 24,976 numbers higher than katiedidmini's. First off, I doubt there are 25,000 MINI's built in one month. Even if there were, there is obviously no correlation between the production numbers and build dates, at least in this case.

So, anyone else with a production date out there? How do we go about getting the production date? Dealer? MINIUSA.com?



(I'd like to conclude by saying "motor on," but we don't have our MINI's yet :???: )

I got my production date confirmed yesterday, week 11 (March), and it looks like the car is delivered to me week 16, (midle of april) But the dealers don´t give us productionnumbers here in Sweden...

Last I heard 500 per day 15000 per month, that would match up well to around 150000 cars a year
Even if there were, there is obviously no correlation between the production numbers and build dates, at least in this case.

Look in the owners lounge of miniusa.com. look at tracking. then look for order details it should give an estimated productin date eventually

I got my production number just a few days ago, it's 37222## with est date of 03/07/2003

DS/W #1,#2, black leatherette,HK

 

seams to be a trend with 3/7 as build dates????

 

from what I've read in other clubs, that's the way it tends to go. Build date's are always a friday, so since there are only four build dates in march and it's likely that there will be big groups of us lumped onto each date.

 

I got my production number last week. Today it already got its first estimated production date of 3/7/03. This seems early as the dealer said it would be delivered sometime in late April. They also warned this date might be revised many times till a firm production date is scheduled. Anyways, best of luck to all you out there. May we all me motoring in April or sooner!

Wow, you Aprilites are going to have a HUGE Club!

I'll call the contractor and get the renovations started.

And I'll call Sears and order a new double-size fridge. With auto-defrost and chilled water options. Would you like that fridge with a white or black top? Door stripes? Chrome handle is standard.

 

Ryefile, my production date is 3/7/03. When i check my order status, it lists that i have the premium package, but i didn't order that. I only ordered the Onboard Computer, MFSW, and HK. Is this usual for early production status? I spoke w/ my dealer yesterday and he only noted those things w/ the order....weird. Anyone else have a difference in their orders?

 

I've heard that the production listing gets all screwed up until your MINI is closer to finished in production, then it "comes correct".

Can someone from an earlier CWFxC verify this?

I don't have any idea. But if I stay with this thread perhaps I can figure out when that will be!

Mine was screwed up for maybe 2 days after I placed the order before it got the right color, options, etc.

 

Ryephile, did you get my pm ever? My build is 3/7 as well(Mondrian's birthday!).

I have also noticed that my details do not list my profile leather. And DSC, is not listed, but I think that's included with the sport package right? For some reason my purchase contract has it listed seperately.

Is anyone else concerned about your mind being totally made up for the options? I asked my dealer when the last possible day for me to change anything was, and he said about 6 weeks. But 3/7 is only 5 weeks away!

Anyone getting anythng especially unique that we all should know about before our orders are officially permanent?
