Cheffer, You have skills that are in great demand for weddings. Weddings have food. Cakes, receptions, rehearsal dinners. You cook it, they eat it and pay for it

Red - I can relate to your torture. One of Michigan MINI's members - BigBlueOx, has I think about 5k miles on his MCS... his is about 15 months old. Then again he also has a 2 mile commute round trip, lol.

Will do my Mom's MCSc mods and miles updates That first week will be crazy; Cleveland to Detroit to Deals Gap to Denver, woah! Reminds me of MINIclo when she took Wanda from LA to Deals Gap...before even having a license plate!

My guess is about 4 months! And the last two weeks we put on 25 miles. Using more windshield washer fluid than gas!

I am enjoying every little mile. And I get a real kick keeping up with the true enthusiasts here who race.

IMHO, torture is sitting at a keyboard knocking out 5,776 posts in 24 months!

I fear it would be even less! The way for me to get more mini miles is to quit my job. (That's not a bad idea now that I think of it)

Thanks Andy. I have to get my priorities straight!

Welcome April Club Mk III

Coolness!!!

Welcome to the April Club TheWrks and MaximusMini...now you must become assimilated...we (those that remain) are the longest running and most viewed CWF*C EVER...now on our THIRD GENERATION...take that May!!!!

Burnie's still rollin' on...just over 25K (I know, Rye...not much, really) and still trouble free...I still grin ever time I step into the garage after almost 3 (edit-make that 2) years. Probably going to add the Alta CAi over spring break and hopefully will get pullied this summer. Shoulda done both a long time ago, but other things kept getting in the way...finally got the SO's "brick" paid off and the house payment goes away soon...11 more months!!!! It's moddin' time!

Best to all (and BTW it was 81F in Austin TX today)...love that sunroof!

Hey Cheffie - 25k in two years is about "average", average being about 12k a year. You're right on track. MM2 is a few ticks from 30k - that'll happen before the weekend is out

Had my first wheel damage tonight - hit what used to be called a piece of road, but is now called a boulder in the road. Was jammed up in traffic and couldn't swerve enough to avoid it - BAM, have a nice flat spot in my winter wheel now. Damn, time for fix or replace. Crap happens when you live in a 3rd world country

Wecome to all the new CWFAC members out there! Ordered mine 2/4/03 and took delivery 4/14/03.

I agree with the Chef, still grin every time I drive or even see the car.

Even though I now have an extra "0" in the middle of my odometer readout since I rolled into the 5 digit world (see seperate thread).

Friends don't let friends exceed ten thousand miles.

Red

I agree. You appear to go through less wheels and assorted bodywork that way!

But I would be thankful if you put 100k on MM2; you would have even more quality knowledge and experience to share.

Red

15000 Miles

Time for an update
Minor problems
Rear latch Adjusted
Passenger Window motor replaced
Door latches replaced (locked in vehicle)
Rear latch motor replaced
Seat Airbag connections reinforced
Recall to resolve MIL light
Recall for power stearing fan fusing issue
Recall for can't remember some tube that was dissolving or getting soft in the emissions system?
Drivers Leather replaced
I think that is all the problems. A short list compared to the 2002 Cooper.

Just a refresher
Flo is her name
EB/W, Lapis Blue, Sport, Cold, Auto wipers/Auto dimming mirror, White Wheels Anthracite
Dealer installed at delivery
Alarm, Driving lights, floor mats

Dealer installed after Delivery
Aux input
Rear fog light kit

My Mods
6 disc changer (scavanged from cooper before sold)
Diode mod for rear fog friendly brake mod.
MINI driving light covers have word MINI painted white
Winter tire Blizzaks from tire rack

Future planned Mods

Garage door opener activated by left unused MFSW button. (Any help or ideas welcom.)

Kuhmo 16" v710's mounted on MINI R83? wheels.

200/2000 lb quality hitch

Driving.

The MINI rocks

Still using Perrelli runflats and I am not dissappointed.
Due to some medical issues I was unable to drive much last year. but at the end of the summer I finally made an SCCA auto X I placed 2nd in G stock that day. Had an absolute blast. Quality of the Vehicl is much improved from the model 1 year. I do miss the Power supply inn the back though. Mileage has greatly improved to 25/30 city/highway. Only thing that even tempts me to upgrade is the LSD Snow tires are awesome, but I hate to drive on them when its not slick. Mod's will be kept to a minimum for now, as I plan to be active in G-stock this season. Anyone with ideas on the Hitch or the Garage door opener drop me a note.

And if your wondering yes I still love to see how often the word Miata comes up in these threads

Great recap! I guess it's getting close to the two year mark for the good, the bad and the ....fun experiences to be noted. Will get on it soon. Maybe we will flush out MINIHOLLAND?

Are the winter tires on their own dedicated rims? And you just ride around with some "tire sealant"?

Red
