My wife found, on the internet, (and gave me as a christmas pressie), an infrared remote control MINI. It's made by NIKKO. It's red, like mine, comes with a sun roof, like mine, (the sunroof is for the sensor), and comes in 5 different channels...so you can race 5 of them at the same time. Each car is fixed on a channel, so you have to make sure you get different channeled cars. They're about $30 each.Run for up to 10 mins and charge for 2 mins. She got my 2 sons and I one each.Its a must for the collector.

 

* xbritt* Aloha! Where exactly did she find it? Since we ordered our MINI back in Nov., I've been a complete MINIac of all things MINI. Have many diecast MINIs but those MINI racers would be really fun 'til the "real" one arrives. Mahalo in advance.

 

I got one for Christmas too, the thing is big fun! You can get the from Amazon.com for $29.95. They're called "I Racers". My cat loves it too

 

oops...I meant 1 1/2 inch. But yeah, my wife found them on Amazon. And yeah, animals love 'em too. Our challenge is to keep it ahead of our dog...kinda like the Dino chase in Jurassic Park.

 

I got 2 for christmas, also through Amazon.
My dealer has them for $34.95 as well.
I wish I had a cat.

 

Bought mine on sale $19.95...Sold out. Painted mine yellow.
I thought it didn't work, until I realised I was outside in the sun.....works great indoors.

Just go to Toys R Us, they sell em there. It's where I got mine. Best of all you can race up to 5 at the same time if your friends buy different 'channel' cars.

I bought '1', incase anybody wants to race hehe.

 

I bought my son two and my brother one for Christmas so that we could have a little grand prix! I, too, bought them at toys 'r' us. One more point--buy the ones in the red box. Any in a black box are apparently an older model that was trouble-prone. Read it on the web while looking for sources.

Sounds like the price has come down. I paid ~$50 on Ebay just after they came out.
