R50/53 Unofficial GT4 Laptime Thread
Unofficial GT4 Laptime Thread
i thought I start this since mini2 kinda gave me the idea.. this is not designed to be a 'o, i can drive faster than you' kinda thread.. but rather compare laptimes with eachother, and share trade secrets
i separate all cars into 4 categories: classics, stock, tuned, and race. these categories are then further subdivided by horsepower, or type.
for now i open this thread only to nurburgring, once i get good feedback i may open this to more race tracks.
classics include anything that's dated before 1990.
stock means NO mods, oil change are allowed, no tires, no hp, no modifications aside from tcs tinkering and weight distribution. they will be subdivided based on hp... incriments is every 200 hp... mini will be its own group
tuned includes any mods listed. please state your total hp and all relevant mods including suspension stage, weight reduction stage etc....
race cars will be separated based on type.. jgtc and dtm cars is category A, LM dream cars is category B, prototypes is category C, and F1 car is category D. modified will push them one class up... so if your Sauber C9 is tuned, then you will be compared to F1 cars!!!
let me start
Classic A (>100 hp)
Classic B (<100 hp)
Stock (min class):
car: MINI Cooper S 02, (import version 5 speed): 8.45.358

Stock A: (>200 hp)
Stock B: (between 200hp to 400 hp)
Stock C: (more than 400 hp)
Tuned A (less than 300 hp)
Tuned B (between 300 to 500 hp)
Tuned C (more than 500 hp)
Race A (JGTC/DTM cars)
Race B (LM dream cars)
Race C (Leman Prototypes)
Race D (F1 Cars)
pm me with your laptime, your car, and please please attach a screenshot of it (a link of it).. i will accept even without screenshots but i'd attach a (U) next to it for unconfirmed if nitrous was used please state so and ill attach the letter (n) next to it
ladies and gentlemen? start your engines!!!!

just thought i post this as well... when back in GT3 after i beat everything and got a gazillion dollars i started looking for frills... i have not tried these.. but if anyone brave these missions post your stories..
-choose a high hp street car and put it against cars in the Gran Turismo World Champion (last race in Professional Hall)
-Get a EVO 8 and pit it in hard against the Sauber C9 in Tsukuba Rain
*my friend gave me the idea, he took a R32 golf and beat Tsukuba Rain Hard!!!
-Choose a JGTC Car and race it in Lemans 24 hour
-Grab any prototype (i'd choose a R92CP) and put it in F1 world championship
-grab a tuned street car and pit it in world circuit tour
ill think of more

got a 7:53 on a fully tuned MCS, no NOS, soft racing tires. i don't have the tools to post a screen shot tho
just a thought, if this expands to include more tracks, i think we should stick to the real world tracks, Monaco, Le Mans (Circuit de la Sarthe), Suzuka, Laguna Seca, Motegi. just my .02

Nurburgring: 16"56.110 STOCK 20hp Ford Model T
GT4: 99.8% complete (I can't find the last friggn race). All license golds and all missions complete.
Kyriian: I know you can use the Sauber C9, Minolta, Bently Speed 8, and Toyota GT ONE to beat the F1 world championship. You just need super hard rears hard fronts and gearing to be perfectly tuned to the track (i.e. so you are hitting redline in top gear at the fastest part of the track). With proper gearing, the higher end cars (including the 92CP) are only slightly slower but you can win by making fewer pit stops.
One really really fun race to win is take a BMW M Coupe, and pit it against the Saleen S7 in the wet race in the Special condition hall (normal). You'd never think the Coupe could win, especially given the time penalties, but I pulled away by about 3-4 seconds per lap! The fact that it's wet makes the race even more fun.
BTW A hint if anyone is just starting GT4 or wants to pick up the best value car in the game. Go to tuner village and HPA motorsports. The R32 there is <32k credits. That's 4WD, 550hp, 609 ft-lbs (all without an oil change mind you. By far the sweetest deal in the game.
