well not really you, but your cars.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum here, but im a vwvortex regular. Please if this is in the wrong place lemme know or move it to its appropiate home

This is Corey(using Ellis's screen name), graphic designer for MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust. Im begining to layout our new catalog and I am looking for you guy's/gal's cars. Well if you are running our system. Please photo's only of the people rinning our systems. It does me no good to show a vehicle, if its got a borla on.

Im looking for highest Resolution, Largest file size, These images will be used in 25,000-50,000 catalog's, magazine ad's, website images. Any photos of your cars would be awesome, front 3/4, low, high, rear with exhaust, anything Im open to using all kind's of shots!!!!!

So please send me whatever you have, i have about 2 weeks to source images out, do page layouts and what not. Im a local to VWvortex and know there are some great photographers there, I imagine this place has some really great photographers as well

here's a example of one of my photograph's of a co-eorkers car (I p-shopped it as well) On the Tex, unless theres a photo attached no one looks at posts.

So please send all photos to clongstreth@magnaflow.com , by doing so you are also releasing any interest in the photos for our marketing purposes.

Corey Longstreth, Graphic Design.

Hey Gang, i joined (this is corey)

really observant to notice its not a mini

Its justr a example of a photo i shot and p-shopped.

2272X1704 at 300 dpi? or 72dpi? as long as i can get a minimum 5" wide image at 300 dpi im good to go!

please email everything to me at work, as i dont know how often i'll get around here.

Corey,

Hey, it's BoraVR6 / DenverMINI from vortex. Also, an old Hydrosporter. Small world.

5 X 300 dpi = 1500 pixels wide. I'm shooting 2272, which for a 5 inch wide image would be more like 450 dpi.

From the clause above "you are also releasing any interest in the photos for our marketing purposes" am I to gather that Magnaflow does not intend to compensate the photographer or the vehicle owner?

The reason I ask is, it seems pretty obvious that Magnaflow has a decent sized ad budget if they intend to print 25,000-50,000 full color catalogs and do a national ad buy. So why no mention of fair compensation for the images which will be used in the ad?

Corey,

I tried e-mailing you this past Wednesday and have heard nothing back. I will e-mail and PM you my phone number (click the little red MINI in the upper left corner of MINI Cooper Online), please feel free to e-mail or call me if you want to follow up on this post.

Here are a few of the pictures I took of Randy's MINI Cooper S with the Magnaflow Exhaust installed. The original images were shot at 2272 X 1704 with no compression algorithm used (best possible quality for photographic reproduction).

These images are the proofs. I can provide the full high-resolution images upon request, provided Magnaflow will fairly compensate us for the value the images have. Magnaflow will profit from the advertising campaign, there is no reason that those who contributed to it's success should not be monetarily rewarded (I gather your not working on this project for a free t-shirt).

Those look great Dave!! I love the clouds in the reflection of those very new age, high tech looking windows on the backdrop buildings. The car looks much more photogenic on those new springs too

Can't wait to see the full res, non-proof shots.

These sure would look good in a Magnaflow ad in European Car, Grassroots Motorsports, Car, etc. etc.
