I was thinking of building a Carriage house to park my MINI in. My wife thinks i am loosing my mind. I was thinking 20x30 with a brick floor, sitting area with fire place and frige-home sweet home me and my toys. Can you believe she does not want me to even add on to the existing garages. All I want is more room
Time will tell , I will have to work on her , maybe I should get her a MINI of her own

jwhcars,

I love your carriage house idea!

I would like to scrape our house and start over: I'd build a great big warehouse/loft/art gallery-like space with big industrial doors that slide open, so I could drive MINIclo right inside!

I'd like to have a collection of MINIs/Minis, old and new, housed in the new "pad!" We could build a loft area for sleepingand have a cool kitchen/great room on the same level with the MINIs!

Get your wife a MINI....bet she'll change her tune!

Cheers!
Clover

Don't forget a drain on the floor, then you can wash her without taking her outside... no rain spots, no dive bombing birds. And a heated garage, oh to dream. (it's 14 degress F outside right now)

My "carriage house"...complete with my English carriage. The horses are under the bonnet, and if you look close you can see them looking out of the slot in the bonnet...
