My mini's name is Pepe (Pepe Le Pew) because he is of course black with white stripes and always chasing kitty cats (just kidding). He loves cats because none of my 12 cats ever climb on him and make footprints (good kitty kitty)

My friend Ann, who reads a lot of Jane Austen named my MINIs.

04 MCS: Willoughby (Pride and Prejudice?)
05 MCSC being built right now: Mr. Darcy (def. Pride and Prejudice)

She is English and I suppose she knows her names...

"WILLI" is an old family nickname. The last person who bore it was a modest, quiet guy with surprising abilities. It suits our corporate gray (dark silver), quiet-looking MCS with a hefty performance package under the bonnet.

Micia el Miniac

My MINI is Bella Micia unless I am behind the wheel; then she becomes... Micia il Miniac!

I think we must be crazy for alliteration in my family, because we always come up with a name with the same first letter as its make or model.

Bel (which sometimes becomes Jezebel) for my brother's BMW M3
Fraulein Ford (or Roadhog Ranger) for my old truck
Mabel for my sister's C-class Mercedes

I love naming cars... I even went a step further and purchased personal license plates for Micia.

Did you end up calling him Gunner? He was a beaut!

I am a sci fi geek, one of my favorite TV shows being Babylon 5. Penn & Teller guest-starred on one episode, as the comedy team Rebo & Zooty. I've always thought Zooty was a cute name, and hearing it makes me feel kind of like I do when driving MINIs, so when it came to naming my own, Zooty was the only name I really considered. Even though mine is a "she" it still works!

My MINI will be named 'Miles' for Miles O'Brien, my last ferret who died just last year :(

He was born with Waardenburg syndrome, which gave him a wide forehead, wideset eyes and ears, white face with a stripe, and congenital deafness. I always smiled when I watched him sleep, or play, or come bounding toward me.
MINI's make me smile, too - and they kinda look like Miles did.

Its funny this topic popped up to the top today. I just posted on SSM that I finally named my MINI after 2 years of owning it. Its only the third car I have ever owned that has recieved a name.

I took the name from a book I read to my 11 y/o son for bedtime stories. The book and main characters name is Eragon. The name is defined in the book as meaning Dragon Rider.

While I have not attended a Dragon event yet. I plan on trying to enjoy the road late this summer or early fall if I can find a quiet weekend. I hope to be able to attend next year. I have to now look at the name I picked for my car!

Info about the book in case you want to read it before the movie comes out.

Looks like fate that I should follow Jims5543 in describing our MINI's name. The wife and I are both Opera fans (flame retardent suit on ) and my favorite is Wagner. In Wagner's Ring of the Niebelung is a character named Fafner. Fafner and his brother are the giants who build Valhalla for Wotan and the rest of the gods. And this car feels like a giant when I drive it.

But it gets better - to guard the mythical gold ring of the title, Fafner turns into - yep, a dragon. With those two things going for it I had to choose that name. We won't mention that the dragon is slain later on, but maybe that's a metaphor for a killer time to be had at next years Dragon...

I've gone beyond naming my 02 MCS. Instead, I've given it a Title, It means that much to me. I got the idea from graffti on the side of a railroad car at work.

Here it is!!! My MINI's Title!!! Are you ready!!! Scroll down!

'Jack-Jack'

Jack-Jack is the baby of Pixar/Disney's 'The Incredibles'..

Jack-Jack's round and large eyes, MINI's round and large head-lights..
Jack-Jack's hair style, MINI's antenna..

Jack-Jack is small and cute, MINI is small and cute..
Jack-Jack is smiling, MINI is smiling..

People think that they have no super power..

The time comes,
their latent super powers are revealed...

BTW....... I guess that 'Jack-Jack' made me to be 'Jack of Clubs'.
My 'Jack-Jack' MINI has brought to me much luck, happiness, and pleasure.
I greatly appreciate 10851CS's kindness.

My Name Is...

My MINI's name is: Hermes

Here's the why...
Hermes, the herald of the Olympian gods, is the son of Zeus and the nymph Maia, daughter of Atlas and one of the Pleiades. Hermes is the god of shepherds, land travel, merchants, weights and measures, oratory, literature, athletics and thieves, and known for his cunning and shrewdness. Most importantly, he is the messenger of the gods. Besides that he was also a minor patron of poetry. He was worshiped throughout Greece -- especially in Arcadia -- and festivals in his honor were called Hermoea. He was the herald (messenger of the gods). Hermes is usually depicted with a broad-brimmed hat or a winged cap, winged sandals. (Much like the MINI symbol) He was known for his swiftness and athletcism, Hermes was given credit for inventing foot-racing.

All similar attributes of my MINI Cooper S.
