I'm takin delivery in about a week. And i know i've waited to the last minute to do this. But I'm still stumped as what to name my MINI. I know I want a sexy girl name that starts with "S"

Any suggestions would be great and considered.

First two that come to mind are: Sofia and Sabrina

But it you go this link and type in girl names that start with S, you'll get like 15 pages. Good luck

I've always named mine as well, first car was a '91 red MR2, named her Sheena, cuz I never met a girl named Sheena at that time. Then had a Toyota 4-Runner, named her Mindy, it came from the Navi's voice, it just sounded hot. Now with my '06 MCS/SB, not sure, leaning towards Schnelle, It means fast in German, maybe Nell for short, cuz I bought it in Germany, and it was assembled in Munchen as well. My sister-in-law named her '02 MCS/HB Heisse, which means hot in German, thought you'd like to know, Onyx is nice though

So why is there this profoundly weird obsession with naming Minis? Other than, I suppose, Mini USA promoted the idea as part of their marketing campaign.

05 MCS - It's a car, it doesn't have a name

Our Mini is named Rex. I think there's another long thread on this site somewhere about MINI names.

I too have fallen in love with my hibiscus stripes, but saw no reason to switch to a girl name (he still drives like a guy) - just added a twist...

I thought a blue mini with white hibiscus flowers and a name like Moe might make it a little too... "off"... Black/pw Luie works great though!

Mine's named Evie, in honor of Rachel Weisz's character from the Mummy movies and Natalie Portman's from "V for Vendetta". The whole "fiesty English heroine" thing just seemed a natural fit.

It's just one of those things that the community/enthusiasts do I guess. Like waving at other Mini's.

My wife tried waving at another Pathfinder and the other person locked their door and looked scared/WTF are you doing?

My '03 MCS IB/W is named Charlie. I've had him for a couple of months and needed to figure out his name.

Last weekend when giving him a bath it came to me that he's like a 12 year old little boy. Mostly good, but has a hint of mischief...
