The BBC version is dead on faithful to the books. Highly recommended, but read the five book trilogy. (That's what it's officially called!)

Waiting for my CR/B

I'm expecting my CR/B MCS in early October. I've been toying with a few names.

Being as I live in Texas I've been looking at hispanic influenced names, and here is the best one I've been able to come up with: El Torrito Rojo (Little Red Bull); in addition to the car being small, red and strong-like-bull, my screen name is a compression of the first two letters of my first name, my middle initial and for first letter of my last name, it reads "WyNG" - so the Red Bull/WyNG's play on words could get some mileage.

I have one that I like even better and will probably use - Di Minimus Maximus. My wife is an accountant and told me it is an acocunting term meaning "to get the greatest from the least." It seems to fit. It also kind of sums up my car ownership - and here is how I got the idea: Once the Mini arrives I will have a Nissan Maxima and a Mini Cooper S.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

My mini is called Zabimaru.

I named it after a sword from a Tv show I watch called Bleach (I'm a total nerd) but my mini resembles it almost exactly.

Wild! Is that a velvet red with silver stickers (covering the whole boot)?

No, this is a silver car with professionally painted purple crunchie (where they take a plastic bag or plastic cling wrap and lay it on the wet paint and then lift it off) flames (they are tribal flames, but flames none the less) and hand painted outlines on those flames.

The red seats I think are stock, but a lot of stuff on Zabimaru is not stock.

They came with the car actually! I like the way they look, except they are really hard to keep clean. I'd like to get different ones in the spring.

Hi all!

Would you believe, my newly-acquired '03 BRG S is named "Nudnik"?
He inherited his license tag from my old car, "Max"....

C ya,

My PW/B MINI is called Fresh Butter since those were the first words out of a friend's mouth when exclaiming over the color.

I can see how that would be w/all the detail in them. They're still gorgeous.

I named mine Margaret, a nice plain British name. I think it adds to the irony of the Mini...and she can be a bit of a b*tch when I lift up her bonnet!

My 06' R50 is Dixie. Dixie Coop [Cup]. When I bought it my Dad was like "that thing is kid sized, like a Dixie Cup". And it stuck.
