Misfire misfire misfire!!!

So I was driving back home and I was kinda pushing it. Under WOT car was bogging like crazy and than boom went into limp mode and started misfiring. Check engine light came. Pulled over turned the car off and back on and the misfire went away but the code stayed. Any ideas?

I have a 15 %, Catback, a small tune from Nastase Adrian and a step colder plugs (7equp) 4 electrode plugs

I would take a look at cylinder 2’s plug and wire, maybe even take a peak at the injector’s wiring. I’m going with Adrian as well, so I’m curious how this turns out. I’m running pretty close to the same mods, I’m catless and have Bosch 380 injectors, might be the only difference.

I remember when these symptoms occurred shortly after installing my 15% and 380cc Siemens.
In my case it turned out to be one (or both) T / MAP sensors.
Replaced them both w/ OEM and never looked back.

I'm also interested in what you or @adriancl discover as a result.

In my case, P1683: (Electronic Throttle Control Monitor Level 2/3 Idle Speed 'B' Calculation) was the throttle body, replaced it like 4 years ago with a VMO one (oem brand) and it's been fine since then. Until today were I went into limp mode, but it's a different code and I suspect it to be one of the MAP sensors, threw the one from the spare parts I had and I'll see. Usually when it's the throttle body, turning the car off and back on solves the issue for a bit.

figured out what was causing the bogging issues: fuel! I replaced my bypass valve thinking that’ll fix it but it didn’t and I used a fuel system cleaner and fill my tank up and literally the second I drove off the station my car was all fixed!!!

I have only used shell 93 octane in the r53. R55s I might splash 2 gallons of e85 before filling up with 93. I haven’t tried it yet on the r53, she runs way too good after the tune.

91 octane premium minimum, 93 octane premium best. You're pushing a tiny 1.6L, supercharged engine with additional performance mods harder than it was designed for. Treat it like your first girlfriend.

@ttawfik3 When was the last time your fuel filter was replaced?
Funny - 'cause anytime anything goes wrong with a car - I always site fuel as the leading cause.
My previous reply/assessment said nothing regarding fuel this time

Glad you dug in and were able to figure it out
