Misfires, limp mode, fault code help

Reading some of the previous threads, it seems like there is a bit of this going around.

Need some troubleshooting help/advice. 2014 R60 Countryman ALL4 with 62,915 miles. Normally my wife's daily driver, but recently when I occasionally drive the car and really get on it (merging on to the highway, e.g.), I've noticed some slight stumbling but nothing enough for me to dig into.

Then today my wife was driving the car and called and said the CEL was flashing with no power. I told her to pull off and shut off the engine and restart. She made it home, still in limp mode. I ran a DTC scan, which showed the following:

2EFE: Combustion misfires, several cylinders detected
2F02: Combustion misfire, cylinder 4 detected
2EE0: Combustion misfiring, several cylinders: Fuel injection deactivation
2EED: Combustion misfiring, cylinder 4: Fuel injection deactivation
2F01: Combustion misfiring, cylinder 3 detected
2EEA: Combustion misfiring, cylinder 3: Fuel injection deactivation
2EE1: Combustion misfiring, several cylinders: damaging exhaust gas
2EEB: Combustion misfiring, cylinder 3: damaging exhaust gas
2EE2: Combustion misfiring, several cylinders: damaging exhaust gas after start sequence
2EF0: Combustion misfiring, cylinder 4: damaging exhaust gas after start sequence

Replies to other posts with similar issues suggest either spark plugs or ignition coils, OR the HPFP. Is it more likely one over the others? Plugs have never been changed. What is the likelihood that plugs/coils are bad in two cylinders? Any advice or similar experiences appreciated.

I'm far from an expert, but I had essentially same error codes with limp mode (except cylinders 2 and 4 instead of 3 and 4). Datastream on OBD reader was continuously counting misfires on cylinder 2.

Replaced the cylinder 2 and 4 ignition coils and everything back to normal. I barely do any type of car repair, and it literally took about 5 minutes to swap out the coils. I may go back in there and replace spark plugs and other two coils as car has 40K miles and that doesn't seem to hard either.

If plugs and coils have never been changed in 60k+ miles, that would be first on my list. I change plugs every year during my spring cleaning, and coils every other year.

easy to test if coils, swap out 1 and 2 with 3 and 4, if your misfire moves then it is your coils. Replace all 4 coils and plugs and call it a day if that is the problem.

Just installed new plugs and ignition coils, and it runs like a top! Engine feels peppier than before, so that must have been it. Thanks all for the replies.
