07 engine swap to an 03 MCS ?
My engine is done in my 03 MCS . I found an 07 with 68k miles from a convertable . I'm being told it's a supercharged engine but the info I found says 07 was turbo not supercharged. Will the 07 fit ok? . Is it SC or turbo ?. Any other differences? Thanks

The supercharged convertibles continued until 2008. The hatchback switched to turbos in 2007. If it is from a convertible then yes it is a supercharged one. I do believe the wiring harness will be different as it is a different ecu and the facelift engine. You would need a facelift ecu and getting everything working. Best would be contacting adriancl for all of the coding of switching from pre to post facelift.
From Way motor works " No you don't need to do anything with the ECU. Jus reuse your ECU and wiring harness, you can use the wiring from the 07 engine, but the ECU from the 07 won't work in your car. But no need to do that as your ECU will work fine as they are the same engine. "

With exception of a few sensor plugs not matching like crank and cam sensors , it's a direct drop in engine..newer year the sc has coated rotors if it's included but other than that nothing better about it or worse...your wire harness will be fine , just take off what sensors you might need from the bad engine to good engine..

The standoffs on the rotating assembly of the engine stand can be rather long, so you may need longer bolts to mount the rotating assembly to the engine... but they can be found pretty easily at any hardware store.
