rmw or rpm power engine management tune for r53

Hello all,

I am contemplating in the near future for a tune on my 2004 mini cooper s. I have a few mods on my car but nothing crazy. ( no big valve head or header ). I have been looking trough many threads and feel that being in canada and for the price point i am looking at either Rmw tune by or rpm power engine management tune which seem to have the best feedback on the forums . I would like to hear from the peeps who have had either one and which tune is considered better and safer on our r53 supercharged engines?

I would def like the extra power, but my main goal is to tie my mods toguether and be able to have the car run properly .

Thanks for the opinions!

I am not answering your question, but asking if you considered AdrianCL for tuning? Recently had him do mine. What a pleasant experience!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have seen his name mentioned a few times around in a few posts. Unfortunately haven't seen much feedback on him thats why I was asking about the two companies as those are the ones I have seen mentioned and rated the most. Just trying to compare them both at the moment

WMW's Quicktune is the one I'd go for (and the one I have)

+1 on adriancl. I am running one of his GP tunes on my '04 with an upgraded (post-facelift) MS5150 ECU and couldn't be happier. Adrian also tuned my pre-facelift ECU and the increase in performance using the tuned MS5150 is substantial. Touch base with him for details.

Thanks for the replies.

It looks like Adrian has many happy users of his tunes. Like.i said I have come across his name a few times but did not see too much feedback online.
I am a total newbie when it comes to tuning and definetely need a tune that is both easy to install and is safe for my car. I will definitely pm Adrian and see what he sais.
may I ask what is it that makes you yuys suggest him over the other tuners i have mentioned?

Thanks Again

Results, ease of use, knowledge, friendliness and reasonable cost are just a few of the reasons. Adrian lives in Romania and tunes remotely. You need only a laptop and MPPS cable (cheap on eBay) hooked into your Mini's OBD II port and approx. an hour of your time. Also doesn't hurt to have What'sApp on your phone so you can communicate (VOIP, no cost) in real time. His tune (and the MS5150 ECU swap) made an amazing difference (+18hp) to my '04.

Some of the other ones that were mentioned do not tune they flash other people's canned tunes. And one of them is not responsive anymore.

You need a MPPS cable and it really helps if you have a wideband so he can really dial in your tune

Thanks cooper48,

definetely sounds like all the qualities i am looking for . I really like the fact that adrian can remote tune as i am a little worried with all this upload and download myself into the ecu and end up with a bricked unit. I am a total newbie with tuning and it sounds a bit overwhelming to be honest . That is why i was looking at options of sending out ecu to get loaded, but a bit worried with it getting lost in transition. also it can be a pain to be sending unit back and forth to fine tune .

will definetely be giving him a shout to touch base .

The more i look online i am starting to realize that one isnt responsive any longer, definetely dont want to have issues after spending all this change on a tune and customer service/help is not around.,

as for the wideband i dont have one and i am really trying to save that money and put it towards injectors or cam, but i understand it will make the tune much more accurate . I have the bafx obd2 and use torque pro
but i know it isnt as accurate . Did u guys that had a une with adrian all have wideband or can his tunes wihout it be quite safe ?

They are safe without a wide band it's just a more conservative tune that's all
