Hello and sorry for my english.
I have a R52 S and I bought a Valeo Conversion Clutch Kit.
The problem is the crankshaft blocked after mounting the gearbox on the engine.
The gearbox is unlock before mounting
The engine is unlock before, also after new flywheel and clutch kit mounted.
But after bringing the gearbox closer to the engine and tightening the bolts, the crankshaft does not turn anymore.
Someone know why?

 

Are you sure you have the transmission input shaft lined up with the clutch plate? Did you have and use the alignment tool? Then I installed mine it was off and I had a hard time getting it to seat and align the disc.

Sounds like its not aligned correctly.

The clutch disc was to wrong side.

 

It happens. I’ve done that too. Glad you figured it out.

 

Seen that happen before as the disc looks like it should go that way, but it's opposite what you think.

 

Guys I have other problem, the disc not engage.
​​​​​​It's possible that doesn't work because the monomass flywheel it's less height (8mm) then original dualmass?
I installed kit Valeo 835024, it's ok for 2004 R52 S?

 

Bump. I just did this kit when I went from a 5 speed to the getrag 6. I'm also at wits end here. Lol

Those are the ones for the cars 7/2004+

Make sure you have the correct kits.
